Comment:

This is the worst college teacher I have ever had and I'm working on my second degree. She micro manages every assignment. She is repetitive with instructions to the point it's ridiculous! She treats her students as if they are below her. The majority of this class is based on a book that is just someones opinion. Test Q's are not definitive.

Comment:

Awful, insensitive, unclear. She spends no time going over assignments before theyre due, even the 100 point ones. Its really a mystery whether or not shell check for homework completion. She pays no attention to the language she uses when addressing heavy topics, and uses humor far too much to be okay. Will avoid her classes at all costs.

I definitely felt like the grading criteria for papers was not clear at all. I asked her questions that she didn't really ever answer. I felt that she didn't even read my last paper of the semester because her feedback asked me why I didn't include certain things, however all of those things were in my paper. Pretty unorganized and unhelpful.

I took 235 online, I did not enjoy the class at first because she has a LOT of busy work, being online or not. A few weeks had 9/10 assignments due (including discussions+replies). There are three papers that were fairly easy but needs to be detailed and the instructions were not clearest. Pretty much she just assigns lots of work, it's easy tho.

I enjoyed this class, however, I wasn't a fan of the 2 hour long exams. She does offer extra credit but I'm so burnt out from the class that I will just keep my B+.

Professor Routh was a very good professor. Sometimes her instructions can be a bit confusing, but they are clear to understand most of the time. Her class is a bit difficult to pass because she has very high standards for grading, but it is able to be passed with effort.

I took Ms. Routh's class online. She was very accessible via email and understanding of situations; especially those for military taking classes. You get what you earn in her class.

Comment:

Lisa Routh was the FIRST professor that I was extremely disappointed in. I am a huge lover of psychology, and thought that Abnormal Psychology would be a fantastic class. Although the material was interesting, Lisa made the class extremely dull and she exhibited a complete lack of open mindedness and had no concept of real world situations.

I took this class entirely online. It was fairly easy, but I was often frustrated by Dr. Routh's extremely casual and texting-like writing style. I don't care for writing, and there was a lot of it. She took a long time to grade papers. Stick to the assignment exactly. Everything listed in the assignment is excepted to be in the paper.

This class was an easy A for me. My criticisms of Prof. Routh are that her instructions tend to not be very clear (and she has specific standards for her writing assignments), and she's not terribly great at elaborating when you do ask for clarification. Also, she baits you for certain answers and doesn't use proper capitalization/punctuation.

Comment:

She's definitely one of those special teachers who loves what she does, has a ton of experience and makes every subject sound the like most fascinating thing ever. I learned a lot. She can rub students the wrong way with her communication style. Very direct and I think students feel she is condescending or brushes student's thoughts off, at times.

Lectures are amazing! Very interesting! A lot of helpful information with lots of personal experiences and examples which are really helpful in understanding the concepts. Love love love psychology after I took it with Pr. Lisa Routh!!!!

Took as an online class. At times directions were confusing, sometimes due to her typos and grammatical faults. Assigns lots of busy work. Very picky about papers. However, she is quick to respond to questions and emails. Offers extra credit. And is a fairly easy grader when it comes to discussions (as long as you follow her basic guidelines).

She's very specific and picky about the papers you turn in. She wants them a specific way on everything, margins this, abstract that, running head, don't indent abstract. I understand it's college although sometimes it's unclear what she wants when communicating over email. Tough grader for papers and there's usually 5 assignments a week

lots of assignments which really helps make sure you learn the material. Responds quick to questions which is awesome for online classes. Everything has a purpose even though their is a lot of work. Papers are tough but good. Would take a class again from this professor.

She assigned three long papers for the semester(On top of all the assignments on the portal), she wanted the papers to be written her own way and was not very clear on exactly what she wanted. Even after asking for clarification, it was very confusing at times. No matter how much time I spent on assignments, she always had a problem with something

Comment:

The good thing about her class online is being able to work ahead at your own pace. That is great! The feedback given for the 3 writing assignments was similar to other students (margins off, headers). A LOT of busy work (at least 5 assignments a week) plus the writing assignments. It isn't hard to get an A as long as you stay on top of things.

Awesome teacher. Helps engage for an online class and offers lots of extras to help apply the understanding. Quick to reply to questions and offers extra credit!:)
