By far the worst professor ever at BenU. I wouldn't recommend anyone to take her. She doesnt care about her students at all!!! Extremely rude when you try to ask her something. Would NEVER take if I had too.

Comment:

So basically this was a Ancient and Medieval Art class and you would think that would be one of the easier classes to take but I was sooooo wrong. This class requires a lot of memorization and note taking and you will not pass if you do not study or participate. This professor was the rudest person I have ever met and forced me to drop the class.

Not very clear and changes directions on a dime. She is not there for students as much as she says she is. She doesn't care why you missed class. If it is a medical emergency you still will not get a grade for the class and is not very helpful. If i had to take her again i would find another professor. She is the worst teacher i have had.

Because of this teacher I have been unable to finish my degree. She said that I dropped my course to keep up my GPA? How that makes sense I'm unsure, but refused to help me once her assessment was made. COD also would not help despite me being a good student there for many years. I'm a $ to them. What I took of her class was boring. Lazy teacher.

this professor has no sense of compassion towards her students, there is absolutely no chance of working with her if you miss something. she is incredibly difficult to work with. her way or the highway. It wouldnt matter if you got hit by a car and missed your dead line you still couldnt turn something in after the deadline.

I've taken 2211, 2213, 2214 with Ms Mackenzie. She is one of the best teachers at COD. I heard she will be leaving soon which is a shame. She knows what she's talking about and wants to help her students understand. Any time I had a ?? she immediatly took great lengths to help me understand. SHE IS WONDERFUL!

She is very nice but a very hard grader not only that but her test are hard to study for you(Go to class). You have 3 exams and one paper however you can choose to miss one,(if wanted)I do like her as a person but as a teacher she really should find another profession or at least be a little more helpful to her students

She is excellent. There is A LOT to cover with all the art history courses and she makes it fly by AND I remembered all the material. I even missed some classes and didn't e-mail her and didn't get penalized. Only thing is you have to go back in the book and getting notes other than from her is a pain. Great teacher!

I took her class online. Great teacher; she gives very honest feedback on papers (if you ask for it). The workload is high, but far from unreasonable. She is not a harsh grader, as long as you show that you read & understood what the book said.

Amazing teacher! I really learned a lot from her especially since i went into the class at first thinking it was going to be super boring! But if you follow her outlines and jot down the notes, you'll do perfectly fine on the test. The paper was optional, it was just to help you if you had a low test grade in which you go to an art museum.

Comment:

Class is very straight foward and not extremely difficult if you do the work. Paper is somewhat time intensive, but points are rewarded for the hard work. Test are not all too difficult, material is mostly pulled from outlines she hands out, and she teaches clear definitions for terms and works. She will teach you if you want to learn.

I'm actually taking her class right now. She knows her stuff and it's clear that she is very passionate about the Arts. Don't buy the book. Don't even read it. Just make sure you attend her class everyday, pay attention and take notes.

She is a decent teacher I guess. Don't expect to have an overwhelming appreciation for art when you finish, however. Her methods of grading papers is slighly bogus. I had never recieved a C on a paper, (I am an english major) but she docked me for using inproper terminology in reference to art.Ex. I used portrait, but she said it is "Landscape" -5p

Great Professor. Intelligent and fair, learned a lot. Don't buy the book, just show up and take great notes. If you are a CHEATER, don't even bother- she WILL FAIL YOU. Gives 3 exams and 1 paper, but drops the lowest grade at the end of the semester. I got 98% on 3 exams and skipped the paper. Loved the class, would recommend. Got an "A"

Very interesting woman. Has a lot to offer info-wise. 3 tests and one paper, she drops the lowest grade so it's hard to do poorly in this class. I failed a test and still ended up with a B. Tons of slides and notes... but you don't need to buy the book. Try to participate in class. She has a witty sense of humor and is well traveled, cool person.

great teacher, good sense of humor! do NOT buy the textbook. tests are very easy if you take notes. Take this class if you want to have some fun, but there is a long paper too.
