Comment:

I'm a history major, that was never extremely interested in American History as much as European. His style of teaching ALWAYS had me interested and focused. He makes the class fun and enjoyable, while presenting a great amount of knowledge to you. Take home tests aren't so easy, but it's the only work he gives. Take notes!! Highly recommended!

Superb! Lectures were extremely engaging and interesting. Challenging, long take-home tests which forced you to read the text, take notes,and pay attention in class. A good grade requires a bit of effort, but its totally worth it. And you WILL learn from him.

An amazing teacher. Real funny guy. My class is at 8AM and his class keeps me awake. Its a lot of work especially the take home tests but if you do the questions pertaining to the things you learn in class, you do well on them. Great class, I recommend it.

I am a history major and this teacher really impressed me with the amount of knowledge that he has on US History. It lectures are clear and full of examples. He will also make sure that everyone is engaged in the discussion (no falling asleep!) Tests are tough, even the take-homes but if you read the book and take good notes then you should be fine

this professor is very nice and funny and interesting, yes. but if u have a busy schedule and dont have time to spend days and hours upon hours on his tests stay aawayyyyy. it took me a long time to do his tests and totally not worth the grade i got.

I hate history. Fitzpatrick made if funny and bearable. He will use some offensive examples in class, but you will remember them forever and do well on his tests because of it. He's willing to work with you on EVERY test and answers EVERY question you have. Extremely knowledgable and a good guy. Cares about his students. READ THE BOOK!!

funny guy....picks on the class, but he is lighthearted and it makes it fun...keeps you awake at 8am...his tests are long, but they are easy if you do them along with the class...he is very helpful and easy to learn from. i'm a painting major and i loved his class...very interesting and fun...

He's a good teacher. He gives a lot of handouts for the exams. He's definitely wacky, but he knows his stuff. The take home exams can be pretty long at times (100 ?), but hey, it is college! If you do them on time and do not wait until the night before to do it, you should be good.

This guy is most defenitely on the wacky side, but he is very engertic and makes learning boring things extremely fun. This guy always interacts with the class so that is one way to keep your attention. He gives you take home tests that are 80 questions long, but they are not tricky, they are straightforward and he talks about everything in class.
