I took professor Oczek for both SSE 200 and 309. He is a professor the truly cares about his students. Best professor I have had and would recommend him any day. You do have to show up to every class and do all your work but if you do this you can expect a good grade. He's a great guy will excellent knowledge

Comment:

Heavy workload in this class. The unit plan will take up every minute of your life if you put it off too long. Lesson plans need to be very detailed. He provides a rubric for the lesson plans and follows it to the letter. A very good guy who truly cares about his students both in and out of the classroom.

Quite possibly one of the best teachers I have ever had in education. He is amazing. He is smart, funny and compassionate. I still keep in touch with him after I passed his course.

One of the best educators in the profession! I was fortunate enough to have him as an instructor both in middle school and at the college level. Both experiences were incredibly useful and informative. I can only hope that one day my methods as a teacher will be as polished as his own.

Oczek is THE MAN. Hands down, one of the best teachers I've ever had. You have to work hard in his class, but you get a LOT out of it. If you want to be a Social Studies teacher for a living, Gerry Oczek is THE best possible professor to take for the Intro course. I enjoyed the hell out of his class.

Comment:

Best class I took at Buff State. The guy is an amazing teacher, and overall just a great person. Lots of work, but it's all worth it. I HIGHLY suggest you take this class, you won't regret it.

REALLY great guy. MAkes this clear, very organized which helps you get organized too. Lots of class discussions, gets everyone involved. Overall one of the best classes i've taken in 4 years
