She is a very sweet lady. The due dates are flexible and she works with you on your assignments. She wants everyone to succeed. The lectures can be boring. In-class assignments are collected as attendance.

She is the best! She gives way better grades than you expect to receive, high 90's. Class graded by participation and 4 essays. The final exam is an essay and for every essay she gives you a sheet with EXACTLY what she wants on the essay. She is so smart and inspired by political science. Take her!

Comment:

Absolutely horrible teacher for CORE. She's changed our syllabus about 5 times and gives very vague instructions. Further, when you aren't doing something right, she doesn't even give you feedback for what you're doing wrong. You'll turn in an assignment and she'll just be like "Great job!" and then she'll give you a 75. Should not be teaching CORE

She is very intelligent and knows her subject. Attendance not mandatory, BUT it is unwise to miss class, it will hurt your grade, she has daily writing assignments that will hurt you if you skip class. Grading scale was VERY subjective and hard, she does offer extra credit though. She is interesting though, take her class, but be prepared to try.

Dr. Hrezo expects more out of her better students which can make being one difficult, but if you stay in the middle of the pack, speak up a few times without her calling on you, and read the textbook you'll be fine. No attendance policy, but don't you dare show up late.

She definitely makes you think. And if actually listen its really not a difficult class cause she's constantly repeating herself which is good. Very nice and helpful but you may be expected to participate a little bit. No tests just papers that aren't even that bad but do them right because she will grade them somewhat hard.

Awesome teacher and person. Always willing to help and actually wants her students to learn. Does not expect you to come in knowing how to do everything, which is nice for a change. Take her if you can. I hated the class the first week, but it grew on me a lot because she makes it easy to learn the material.

She is a wonderful person who really wants her students to learn the material and will help each and every one of them as much as possible. Her classes aren't always the most interesting but are enjoyable. Very possible to make a good grade if you apply yourself. She has a motherly vibe about her. I recommend her to anyone

Comment:

Dr. Hrezo is extremely kind, informative, and knowledgeable. She gives context and background to difficult readings in a way students can understand. I did not enjoy her husband's class but she can truly teach political science. Best TEACHING style in the entire department, other than Gill. Not ultra-hard but not a cake-walk Take her for AmerGov.

Comment:

She is a very sweet lady. It could have been the class content, but several of us never knew what she was asking of us, in class, or on our papers. Attendance policy as well. This is the kind of class that you can do well in, if you enjoy philosophy, if you don't, you can still get a B or C but will not enjoy the class.

Well, I guess she is an ok teacher. I just dont find the class at all interesting. You dont take tests, you just write papers. So if you cant write good papers(like me), try to stay away from her.

She is a very understanding teacher. I never quite understood what the papers were all about. The class material isnt that interesting, but she is helpful and really explains the material well. The class has no tests, only papers and sometimes a little extra credit in class assignments that only help your grade. Overall the class is pretty easy and she is a very understanding teacher.

She covers a LOT of material and then tests, but the tests are pretty easy and right out of the book. She barely takes attendence and puts the notes on the board for you. She might even sing to you. Get her if you can!

Class was great except there was this one girl who kept whining about the class having no direction and how bored she was with the material. This teacher grades fairly and will try to help you do well. Class was often interesting, but did drag on sometimes. Be sure to do your assignments. Only complaint; assigned a big book to be read in<1 week

unclear in the direction of the class, makes it up as she goes along. Books are BORING, class even more boring. I got A's and B's on my reports...however I ended up with a C. And I even went to class. If you think like socrates take the class, but if your NORMAL DONT...not worth your time. Plus she sings in class, who does that???
