If you can't have a very very heavy sense of humor - one that helps you get over how ridiculous a class feels - then take her class. I was pretty much the top student, nearly fluent, and between her handwriting, speech, and obsession with French-Canadians everywhere, I had trouble understanding.

Dr. Langford is brilliant and in this FA Women's class she teaches clear, fundamental, important material. Sadly, I think she is almost too intelligent for many of her students and is rarely shown the respect she deserves. She is a well-known expert in her field and if you are open-minded and do the work you will have learn a great deal. Show up!

I despise this women. She embarresed me to no end in class and treated me like a complete idiot. I will be the first to tell you I am not good at french, but I try. She put her hand on my shoulder one class and said (not making this up) "**** is our new class project, anyone who can help get his grade up I will give bonus points on your next exam"

Take Durnford! She goes by the book way too much. If you get to France people will have no idea what you're talking about because people don't read out of a french text book.
