Comment:

Professor Liss is absolutely atrocious at her job. She constantly goes on rants and rabbit trails during her lectures. Her political and subjective opinion is used for grading and is implemented in almost every class assignment. I learned absolutely nothing. Also, if youre looking to get a 4.0, dont take this class. It is virtually impossible.

The worst professor I've ever had. The class was so bad that I walked out 20 minutes after the 1st day started and dropped (for a full refund of course). If you can't take this class with another professor, then don't. There are other classes you can take to fulfill your prerequisite requirements.

Marianna Liss should not be teaching, period. She was not helpful one bit and incredibly rude to students who asked questions that had genuine concerns regarding the syllabus and assignments. Schoolcraft Facutly need to reconsider whom they're allowing to teach classes at their campus cause this is genuinely disappointing.

1. Terrible with responding to emails regarding syllabus 2. Never sends out outlines to the entire class, only few students receive it 3. Does not focus on the subject at hand, always goes on random tangents 4. Does not mention textbook except for homework 5. Took Liss b/c all of her reviews were from 5+ yrs ago. To my dismay, she has not changed a bit. Her lectures are boring and go in circles, she loses papers and speeches, and she forgets stuff she said the week before. She is totally unorganized and unprofessional, as she loses the most important grades for a speech class - the speeches!

Easy class to b.s. your way through. Liss is extremely monotone, and seems to enjoy treating her students like they're elementary school kids. Didn't receive much help at all from her and still pulled a 3.2 in the class (while missing 4 class sessions). Rarely if ever use the book, except to do "chapter summaries". Wouldn't take her again.

she is not a good teacher. i wouldn't recommend taking her. she is very disorganized. she doesn't explain anything. she doesn't make it clear what she wants from your speeches, and class assignments. she'll try to explain something and when nobody understands she will look at you like you're stupid, when she's the one not knowing how to explain.

Ms. Liss is ridiculous, but she runs a class that is easy enough to b.s. and yet take something from. She showed us a five step simple speech and I'll never be able to speak without it. Her assignments are off the wall and are never clearly explained. Overall, I would reccommend her.

Overall, I didn't think Professor Liss was a very good teacher. She was not clear on what she expected for the assignments. Also, she was very disorganized, and lost a lot of people's work. She forgot to enter the grade for my quiz, so I told her and gave her the quiz back. She lost it, and I never got my grade fixed.

I don't understand the negative ratings.This Prof is great, really knows the subject and has great passion for her work. I really did not mind giving speeches because she offered help, not criticism. I no longer fear getting up in front of people and I can never thank Prof Liss enough for that. Completely enjoyed a class I thought I would dread.

this class is a lot of fun as long as you put in the effort. the teacher is great a little wild at times but she makes it fun not to mention that she wants you to do well take this teacher for speech you wont regret it i got a 4.0!!!!

She is a complete fruit loop. But do not let this keep you from taking her. I learned a lot from this class, and after taking it I had little or no problems making presentations in my other biz classes. She is definitly out there though. I took her in spring, 4.0, very easy, and I learned alot.

WOW!!! That was an interesting class. The class started with full attendance not a seat left, each week less people showed up. We ended up with maybe 7 or 8 people! Grading was unfair based on NOTHING. Also she never really told you what the speeches should be like. I wouldn't recommend her.

crazy, she had the same green outfit on all the time sometimes she would change the shirt underneath but it would never match. Had no ideal what she was talking about most of the time but i made up two of my speeches while i was giving them and got 3.0.
