Did very little to actually teach. Tests didn't reflect what was covered in class. He asks students to help each other with the homework. Does not like to be questioned and it will reflect on your grade if you do so and make him upset.

Comment:

This was my first accounting class. I thought he did a great job explaining the concepts so I could understand them. He requires you to read the chap. before class and a quiz is given at the beginning of class. This forced me to stay on top of the material. Homework is graded based on completion (not accuracy). Good prof.

Exams are mostly definition application questions, not actual math problems. Easy grading on homework. Communication with students is terrible and he's not very clear on what he expects, but overall if you can read and comprehend, you should do fine in the class.

He is tough in the summer. You need to do extremely well on the homework assignments, because the exams are just way to difficult. His class average for all 3 exams was a "C" when I took the course. Also, make sure you participate a lot on the discussion board, because if you have a borderline grade in his class, it could mean the difference betwee

took this class at night, it was not that bad, he gives quizzes every time we went, the first to exams class average was in the low 80's, final was in the mid 70's. Do the HW, all the quizzes and you will not have a problem with a B. If you already took accounting as an undergrad expect to make an A. He tries to funny in class.

He is enthusiastic in class and wants his students to succeed. He is always willing to meet with you outside of class for help. I took this as a 3 hour night class, and his method of teaching helped the time go by much more quickly. If you go to class and do the homework it will not be hard to get an A.

I'm an Accountant by trade so I had a definite upperhand. But, if I did not, I would have found this class horrible. The teacher offers absolutely no help. If you are taking the DE section, plan on teaching yourself. Answering other student's homework questions is also part of the grade. He doesn't answer e-mails very often either.

Not a good experience. Information provided in class did not prepare us for exams and then a dept wide test was added at the end of the semester with no prior warning. When I asked for help Dr. Reiman was degrading and sarcastic. I would not recommend anyone take this course, despite my grade.

It's not easy, you gotta make an effort. If you try to work the problems ahead of time and then go ask him questions, you are better off. Somethings don't come across in class, I guess.

Rieman is an ok teacher. Make sure that you are on top of the material because he does tend to stumble here or there while he's teaching. It's evident that he has not looked over the material either. It's important that you come to class though b/c he's give extra credit and sometimes test Q/A to students who come to class. He does know his stuff.

Great professor if you are an accounting major. He gets you ready for cost. The test are easy once you figure him out. Never tests on concepts, he likes to find easy questions and makes them sound difficult. Never checks hw, but if you don't do at least some of it you will be lost. Always in office if u need help, and he will tell you the test

The class was harder than it should be. The case for me wasn't that hard, b/c i had some help. He doesn't explain things very clearly. But if you stop by his office & get some he'll @ least know you're trying & he might be easier on you! Don't take him if you need someone to teach you step by step!

Hard Class, but good teacher. You just need to make the time to go to his office to ask for help. Once he knows who you are, your chances of getting an "A" are good. However you really have to work hard, and not miss classes to pass this class.

Worst class ever. He sucks at teaching. You basically have to teach it to yourself. The tests are hard. The case he makes you do at the end of the semester is impossible. I had an accountant major who was about to grad. help me and he couldn't even do it! Don't take him!

this professor is horrible, do not take him! he's made people cry because he makes you feel like crap when you don't know the material because he doesn't teach it correctly. Whatever you do not take him, wait to take someone else.

Overall not too dificult of a teacher, but can be confusing at times. He gives extra credit and h/w and class participation grades give you an extra added boost in your grade...tests are the hardest part. STUDY!!
