You wont meet Mary, you'll have a graduate student teaching you, so you are pretty much rolling the dice on if your teacher will be good. Best math class I have ever taken. If you want to get a good grade all you have to do is complete the practice tests (which are nearly identical to the actual tests). Work hard and you will pass.

You wont meet Mary, youll have a graduate student teaching you, which could be good or bad. Mine was great, but many friends hated theirs. Theres a 75 minute class every week along with 3 hours of mandatory math lab. They make you clock in for both. Homework and quiz every week, 4 tests, and a final exam. Im sure its fine if you like math.

Very frustrating because youre being taught by a student teacher and mine did not speak english which made it extremely hard to understand what he was talking about, i also think its bs you have to go into the math lab for 3 hours a week. If i could drop this class i would, UNO needs to figure it out with their math unit.

The math department at UNO is terrible. Amber Henkel, was the course coordinator, Dennison the actual professor, and the lectures were done by a graduate student. On top of the classroom attendance, you have to do an additional 3 hours per week in the math lab with student tutors who can't explain math. Take your math at UNL or MCC if you can.

This is the worst set up for math I have ever seen. Once a week you have an hour and fifteen-minute class but then are expected to spend three hours in the math lab. I would much rather have another class or two and an actual in-depth lecture. A grad assistant teaches the class, you never meet the real lady. Expect to learn all of it yourself.

THIS IS FOR MATH 1930! MaryRita doesn´t actually teach the class, grad students do. I had Sarah Webster and she did an alright job of teaching. In the course, you have 4 exams and a mandatory final exam. Quizzes are worth 10 points every week online along with homework. I spent at LEAST 4 hours a week in total. There is no extra credit. I never met the prof., some other student taught the class. Heavy homework; mandatory attendance, and you can't use your computer in the class. 2 hours of lab is mandatory, where you can't do anything but math work.

You have to show up to class! They will use your MavCard to count your attendance. Maryrita does not teach the class, I think a student does. You must go to the math lab at least 3 hours a week. Quizzes and homework is very easy. You can take quizzes up to 10 times, unit tests twice. Best score is the one that counts. Do the homework to pass!!

Took Math 1000 w Cassie (Kassie?) who was extremely helpful. She was extremely consistent, spoke clearly and loudly in a long hallway-shaped room, and was patient with less than motivated students. Thanks to her help I finished 1000 with the highest grade of any math class I've ever taken. If you fail Math 1000, it's your own fault.

She is really nice and helpful. If you are not a math person then it might be a bit hard for you. Math is my favorite subject so i have no problem with this class. Easy A.

This class is very difficult. Moves at a quick pace (especially if you aren't good at math) mathway (dot com) website pretty much saved my life on the quizzes! Although I hated every moment of this class I was a few points away from the necessary grade of a C+ I needed after taking the final and when I emailed her she just bumped my grade up.

While I do not generally hate math, this class made me do so. The class is taught by TA's who have no idea what they are doing. It is mostly based online. I put in about 3 hours a week and ended up with an A in the course. It's hard, and mostly self taught, but you can do it if you want the grade.

This class is the worst thing I've taken at UNO. You are required to attend an extremely cramped (material) 1 hour class each week. If they taught this in a traditional manner, the class would have a higher success rate. Right now less than 70% of students pass this class, that is from Ms. Dennisons mouth, I asked when I failed it, again.

I took Pre-Inter. algebra and it was the easiest class ever! The TA I had was very helpful and explained everything very well. All test, quizzes and homework is online, you can get an automatic A because the computer tells you if you got the problem right or wrong. Very easy class!

My class length was 50 min and we covered an average of 3 sections per class. Not good. No time for questions, otherwise you wouldn't cover the material. I taught myself everything and had some help from my brother-in-law. Terrible class. So glad it's over. I would seriously plan on teaching yourself the material, and find a good tutor. All by TA's

I took intemermediate algebra Mrs. Dennison is not helpful at all does and TA's teach class. I had a terrible TA so I hated the class. I think it is a terrible idea to have math be online. You can't learn anything that way and the assistants in the math lab are only helpful on certain subjects. You basically have to teach your self everything. BAD!

I did not like takeing this class. The class is taught by TA's. during the corse of the class the teacher only came in to the class once. I thaught the test were hard. There are 12 question on the test and they are 3pts each so if you miss 2 questions you will automatally fall the test. Going to class is mandatory.

I did not like the class. I Thought the the points for the test were to high. Mrs. Denneson does not teach the class and attendance is mandatory. The class is taught by TA's and many are not helpful I do not recommend taking this class
