Hokom is testing my sanity with how hard he grades. If you can't handle stress, DO NOT take this professor. He's a great guy outside of class and has interesting conversations in class, but it's super hard.

Hokom is a really good teacher. But you have to go to class and participate in order to pass. You're only going to get out what you put in. So, if you go to him for help he is more than willing to help you. He is super nice and very approachable. I really enjoyed taking his class, and I've scheduled to take him again in the fall!

Dr. Hokom is tough. He gives seven assignments: 3 reading journals, 2 abstracts, 1 research paper, and a quotation log. Assignments are not hard and he is willing to answer any questions you have. Accepts late work with a penalty. Attendance is important! Don't skip this class! Discussions are interesting so this shouldn't be a problem.

Dr. Hokom really loves ancient literature and he definitely passed that love on to me. His class definitely is not easy, but it was totally worth it. He has a great sense of humor and is totally awesome. And he's a cutie. Definitely had a crush on him for a while.

Hokom makes learning fun. Even in a class where you're not necessarily going to be interested in every single assignment you have to read, I guarantee you'll at least be interested in what he has to say about it. He loves teaching, and it shows. If you get a good grade from him, you know you've earned it...and he has a lovely singing voice!
