Dr. Haskett is a rare breed of teacher. While he's up there in years, he teaches with an amount of energy that is rarely seen among much younger teachers. He's as fair as they get and is always ready to talk when you need some help with your grade. There's a lot of extra credit trips (to see an orchestra/jazz band) offered that are pretty fun.

Good teacher, kinda funny. His tests are easy- I did so well on the first 3 exams that I was exempt from finals! He gives you a review sheet with everything that will be on tests, so just get it out and study! Must show up to class BC there is no podcasting or use of Blackboard

Dr. Haskett is an amazing guy!!!HE of course has ALOT of experience in Music, and wants all to appreciate it. This guy tries to make class interesting for even the people who HATE music..but for an 8 o'clock class..A BOOK IS MANDATORY..no way around it!Very nice guy, very approachable,always willing to help a student

Sweetest man and great professor! Always smiling! :) The class could get boring at times, but he realized that and did the best he could. His tests were pretty easy as long as you study, but overall this class was an easy one. I recommend him for music apprec.

I had Dr. Haskett in 1994, and he was excellent to work with. I had both private lessons and brass ensemble with him, and he was very much full of energy and excited to be teaching. He had his moments, but he was great. Very professional...

Comment:

I don't know about other Music Appreciation profs, but this one makes an effort to cover styles of music other that classical (jazz, country, and rock). that made the class more interesting, to me.
