Dr. Petrocelli is an amazing professor and he is hilarious and makes you want to be in class to hear all of his amazing lectures. The exams are 100 questions and are difficult so study hard. The final is 50% of your grade too.

He looks like a tough guy comes off really hard the first few times but he is a great professor. He will always answer questions and he is so smart. lectures are excellent but he doesn't use powerpoint so you have to take notes and will call on you at random. also, a very good looking older man. would have like to have met him when he was 25. smile

I was very scared going into his class, but Dr. Petrocelli became my favorite professor very quickly. Hes very knowledgeable and he genuinely wants his students to succeed as long as they work for it. Very possible to get an A as long as you attend class and study in advance.

He expects you to know the material. Dont skip class. Take the tests serious. I bombed my first test (44%) stuck it out and ended up with an 88% overall. Be prepared for the tests.. they are the real deal. He is strict. Be there on time. Just remember you are paying a lot of money for these classes...

He can come across as intimidating, but is a nice guy that really wants you to understand the topics. He will call people out in class and will play devil's advocate with you. Overall, great professor.

This guy is the real deal. More professors should be like him. You have to study hard to get an A on his test because they are short answer with multiple choice. He's really good at explaining the material and gets the students involved with conversations in the class.

Dr. Petrocelli is a very unique professor. He is very smart and knows his stuff and can talk about alot of different topics. What I really like is how he ties current events into his lectures to help us learn. He's strict but also very funny, too. Try not to be intimidated by the way he looks because he wants all his students to succeed.

Dr. Petrocelli really intimidated me the first few weeks. His class is hard but if you participate in the lecture and study you will do fine. He uses real examples in lecture to make the material stick. I'm looking forward to taking him again this next semester.

Dr. Petrocelli is my favorite CJ professor by far. He gives clear grading criteria and is extremely knowledgable. You can tell he is passionate about what he teaches, and seems to really care about his students. Only downside to his classes is that the final is worth 50% of your grade. He definitely makes you work hard for your grade!

Petrocelli is one of best lecturers I've ever had. He can speak off the top of his head about almost any topic you bring up. He's clearly a smart guy. His tests are tough, but hey, this is college. I appreciate a professor who treats students like they are smart and doesn't cater to the lowest common denominator.

He does not care if you fail. He treats his class like it is the military. Gives you way too much irrelevant information to remember for his exams. Most of the material he gives you doesn't relate to questions on the exams. He doesn't tell you what is going to be on the test; so basically you have to remember everything.

Dr. Petrocelli is very fair. Gives you all the material you need for exams, his exams are not difficult what so ever IF YOU STUDY and attend class. Definately not class you can skip. He is always willing to help and a hardworking teacher. Only con is the final being 50% of your grade, but don't let it scare you away, he leaves you well prepared.

He is a very good teacher but in order to pass you must be at every class and take notes on everything he says. The test are very hard but if you take good notes you will do fine. My only problem with the class was that there are only 3 grades and the final is cumulative. Overall great teacher, explains everything very good, would take him again

Petrocelli is the ultimate "tough but fair" professor. I love his no nonsense approach. He breaks down complicated ideas and teaches them to you step by step. He is not like most professors who allow students to do whatever they want in class; he has rules of conduct that he enforces and that makes for a great learning environment. Funny, too.

Favorite teacher at SIUE! Knows material and explains it well. Very understanding but doesn't take crap. I love having him as an instructor!
