Amazing professor, taught from packets always there to help students, tests made sense and were challenging. I would personally recommend however the WAC chem department is full of great professors.

Comment:

Very lecture heavy, gives out packets for each chapter but is on the slower side going over materials. She is very accessible outside of class and encourages students to come to her office hours. Tests and quizzes can be challenging, make sure to do practice problems in the book and practice doing questions under time constraints.

Comment:

I had Dr. Marteel for Honors Gen Chem 111. Her class is very straightforward with no tricks. What she tells you will be on the test, will be on. The study guides are indispensable because she does not deviate from them. However you have to know the stuff thoroughly to get completely through the test in the time limits. Her tests are fairly written.

Dr. Marteel is by far the best professor at this school. She is so willing to help, her door is always open, and she is just such a sweetheart! I definitely recommend taking a class of hers. Her tests are difficult, but she teaches the material so well that as long as you study you will be fine

Comment:

One of WAC's best professors. Her lectures are very direct and informative. She's always repeating point and doesn't skip over any material. The tests she gives are completely fair and her door is always open. Such a devoted professor!

Marteel is awesome. She's very tough but you can tell that she really cares about her students and that she wants each and every one of them to understand and succeed to the best of his or her ability. She knows her field and has a passion for it. Highly recommended.

This woman is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She's tough but she's very helpful and very clear when she teaches. She is very willing to work with all students to make sure everyone does their best. Awesome, awesome professor!
