Comment:

Dr. Monfared is the best Math instructor/professor I've ever had in my educational career. All of his lectures are clear and concise and very well organized. His personal notes are posted online ahead of lectures and his solutions are very detailed for all homework assignments. Attend lectures, take notes, practice assignments and you will do well.

Comment:

Easily the best math professor I've had at the University of Windsor (and I've taken a lot of math courses). He explains things very well, doesn't go too fast and makes his expectations very clear. Put in a bit of work and you'll get an A, and actually learn a few interesting things.

Dr. Monfared is a very nice professor. He gives good notes, teaches clearly, and at a pace that allows you to grasp the material effectively. Pay attention to his examples in class, do his homework questions, and practice his old midterms & quizzes and you will pass the class. He is a fair marker and truly cares about his students.

The lecture is extremely easy. The quizzes, midterms, and final are extremely similar to the questions on the textbook. Listen class and taking notes, and then you will receive a perfect grade.

He is one of the best profs I've had at the university. Exams were doable (not too hard, not too easy). He cares about his students, grades fairly and teaches really well.

He is literally one of my favourite profs at the U. He really teaches well and puts his own personal notes online so if you miss a class you have enough information to still do well. I suck at math, but he literally changed the way I look at math, especially calc. He starts off elementary and works his way up. His tests are fair and easy.

Comment:

His lectures were almost all proofs, and yet the homework was all about applying the theorems. He gave the simplest examples in class yet much more difficult homework. There was lots of typos in the course notes. There were no quizzes to check how well you really knew the material, just two midterms and a final. Not only that, but a 50% final.

Inconsistent with the difficulty of tests -- first one class average of 70%, 2nd class average of 40%, then had to curve the final. Hard to know what to expect, though his teaching is pretty good.

Make sure to ace the first midterm and then hang on for dear life. His 2nd Midterm was KILLER. Class avg 35%. Final was hard but not as hard as the 2nd midterm.
