Definitely take his course if you can! His lectures come off as boring at first but as the semester progresses, you realize how great he is as condensing only the necessary information you'll need for your tests. He's super experienced and his slides are exactly what is on the test. Really caring and makes the effort to bring us treats for holidays

Very straightforward and easy teacher. I hate econ but he made it kinda fun and enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed his lectures. His ilearn was confusing for me however and I wasnt sure how to get ahead in his class!

He's okay and knows what he's talking about. My main issue was I took his class in the evening for almost 3 hours long. I highly recommend AGAINST doing that. He is a slow lecturer which is fine if you have trouble keeping up. But he's real boring, a lot of the class left half way through. Test heavy, but some homework online.

He is a great econ professor. He knew the material very well and taught it in a way where students could understand. Lectures contained a lot of information but it helped when doing online homework and preparing for exams. Would recommend

Potepan is a really good professor. He has weekly hw and 4 midterms which he gives you a study guide. He provides real-world examples. He also talks a lot but has a very clear presentation. Slides on Ilearn. He is really nice and his class is not hard whatsoever.

Professor Potepan is a great professor. His powerpoints are clear, and he also does prepare you study guides for upcoming exams. The homework isn't very difficult, but there were 4 exams, and he is definitely reachable outside of class or by email. So if you are really gonna take this class, you better be prepared and ready

Grade is calculated based on homework and exams. Lectures in class help the homework outside of class. Very good professor who knows the material very well. Just a bit too much lectures sometimes

I enjoyed Potepan's class. He is a very straight forward professor, attendance does count! So don't think you can't show up. Take a few notes during his lectures to retain and understand the material. His slides are what you'll study off of! Two midterms and a final. I'd recommend taking him!

Took Potepan Spring 2012 - I don't think he was a bad professor but he wasn't very punctual in responding to emails, but when he did he was very helpful. Downside - Projects and exams were pretty difficult. Lectures can be pretty dry and boring at times. I would recommend him overall, but you have to put in the effort to pass.

He is a very great professor! He is straight-forward with his lectures & everything is on his powerpoints. He gave out 4 exams & study guides for them. If you do the study guides, you'll definitely pass with B or higher! There are weekly quizzes! Also, you don't need to buy the textbook even if he says so.

He posts all his lectures online, and his study guides are spot on. You review the lectures, take the quizzes, and actually USE the study guides, you'll definitely pass. I only went to class for the first week and I got an A. Simple concepts as long as you take the time to learn them. Just weekly quizzes and 4 tests. Easy but I learned a lot.

Potepan is the man! Econ can be a very boring subject, but he tries to make sure the class is engaged and understands the material. His study guides are straightforward and as long as you review the terms on it from your notespowerpoint you will do fine. Attendance is not mandatory but for a class like Microeconomics you can't miss any lectures.

Prof Potepan is one of the best prof I have ever met at sfsu. He makes the material much easier than it is, but don't expect to have too much fun since econ is pretty dry. There are four exams, 150 points each, close book, no cheat sheet, and it is pretty hard tho. So plz don't skip class or else you will regret.

Dr. Potepan actually teaches the material very well! He makes everything very clear and easy to understand, he is energetic, and you can tell he knows what he's talking about. You will actually learn the subject if you take his class. Tests can be difficult, so be sure to go to class, take notes, and study. Take him, you won't regret it!

Potepan isn't one of those teachers you're going to rave about, but he's a nice guy and tries to teach the material as clearly as possible. The final is just a test, there is extra credit from answering clicker questions, and he removes your 3 lowest quizzes. Micro is hard, but if you show up to class and read the powerpts b4 exams you'll get an A.

Comment:
Potepan sucks at teaching Econ 101. His powerpoints are a summary of the chapters and you barely use the book. 13 online quizzes, but he drops 3 of the lowest grades. You have 4 tests, but he gives you a study guide that does not even help you prepare for the test. If you can, take someone else. His tests are hard as hell.
