Amazing is putting it lightly. He actually teaches writing by laying out the craft and providing terms and ideas for students for them to improve their writing. He grades fairly, and based on EFFORT, not creativity. So, if you hand in the work due, which is not heavy, you get an A. Plus, workshops are fun and he is hilarious. Writers, take!
