Comment:

Incredibly poor teaching skills and presentation style. Very disjointed. Relies heavily on youtube videos and has students create teams (different teams with different members) sometimes overlapping. One team I joined was created early in the semester and then another was formed. We used the second one first!

Comment:

A nice person but very scattered. Presents stuff without any apparent order and gives poor explanation about why. Yvonne also uses a tonne of You Tube video and sometimes the information from those videos is useless. Also, final marks for submitted items were never made available for last semester

Comment:

She communicates effectively. Yvonne is good at her job and helps students to succeed. You will get loads of assignment that the course demands but you'll get needed guidance. I would definitely like to have her as an instructor again.

Comment:

Yvonne has awful timing with her lectures. When we should have a work period to finish a lab, she introduces the next lab. She opts to show TED Talks rather than actually teach us. She isn't engaging in the slightest, and I find myself actively looking for other things to do while she's talking.

Comment:

excellent teacher, I thoroughly enjoyed taking both DMIT1001 and DMIT1508 from her. For DMIT1508 in particular, she was very clear with what would be covered on the test and made studying very easy. She is empathetic and easily available.

Comment:

Yvonne is the bomb, she didn't seem like an epic teacher when I first took her class, but she is INCREDIBLY savvy and understanding if you make it clear you care about your work. She's suuuper down to Earth, knowledgeable, direct, and just a cool, good quality teacher. She's unassuming compared to some others, but she's seriously fantastic!!!

Comment:

I had her for ANAP & Systems Foundations. She is clear about what she wants, she gives you examples of what is right, what isn't right, and why. Follow the rubric closely and you will get an A. In Systems the lectures were boring, the quizzes were based solely on that. Read the slides, you will be fine, memorize what she says to. Go to review class

Comment:

She also teaches ANAP1005: Analysis Fundamentals In DMIT. Although a very kind and respectable professor, I found her classes extremely boring and her case studies lazily made but to curriculum. I passed the class without much attendance and she made me feel like the course was a waste of time and I would hope to see improvement in future courses.

Didn't really like her teaching style. Sometimes to vague when giving feedback as well to nitpicky with criteria on some assignments. Only instructor I know of who forces participation for marks even when not doing presentations. Overall she's alright but beware that you can't skip ANY of her classes unless you want to lose marks.
