Nancy is a nice lady, if you try with her. She offers extra credit on tests, and allows you to use notes on exams. The "A" is a 95 though, so you gotta work to get it. Never read the textbook.

Comment:

Nancy is very knowledgeable - she definitely knows her facts and has had a lot of hands on anthropology experience. The class is pretty easy as long as you take good notes. Skipping class is not an option. If you read what you're supposed to read, take notes, and put decent effort into the labs you should get an A.

I have taken multiple courses with Nancy and did well in all of them. Fair warning though, Nancy does not care about her students and has no interest in helping you succeed, even when you make an effort and/or are a good student. The classes are worthwhile, if you put in the work you will learn, but expect to do it without her support.

I worked really hard for a low grade. The class was insanely interesting. I was frusterated because no matter how much I memorized, visited her in her office, or spent on the readings, I couldn't figure out how to raise my grade.

She knows her stuff but she is too hard. I have lost my interest in anthropology because of this class. But she is very informative and a great resource for those who really like anthropology.

Nancy rocks. She seems unapproachable at first but she isn't. She knows her stuff. This class is all lecture, but she's clear and makes it interesting. Sometimes she's monotone, but she has a sense of humor. I highly recommend her.

Comment:

Nancy is an incredible teacher. I have never worked so hard in a class for such a low grade, yet knowing I learned so much. I always had the feeling that we spoke a slightly different language, as my essays (which I did well with in every other class I have ever taken), seemed to always be taken differently than I meant them. But regardless, I learned so much and admired her tremendously.

This is a great class, although quite demanding. Nancy was very straight forward about her expectations for the class and I think some people struggled because of the amount of memorization required.

Professor Krusko is an excellent teacher. She is clear, helpful, and that makes the material very easy to understand. She is very learned in the Anthropology field, and it is no wonder that she is the department head.

This was the best class ever. It was extremely hard, but so awesome, and Nancy really knew what she was talking about. Plus she totes her Australopithecine bones around in a J.Crew bag, which is funny for some reason!
