She was a great teacher. I had her for Summer B classes and she really work me out, and really got me to want to become a better writter. This is not an easy class. If you are looking for an easy "A" get out... like RUN! :)

Just finished the ENC1101 Summer B coarse (6weeks). As an Instructor, Ms. Leon stands pretty clear about what you're to expect out of the class. The material taught throughout the coarse will be used for your future college classes. I agree, she does put you in groups for everything. Alot of book work. Definetly not a bird coarse! No easy "A".

I really liked her teaching style. She will not "give" you an A, you have to work for it. She gives powerpoints on how she wants the papers written so do as it says! Meet up with her one on one for the tougher papers because she'll let you know exactly what to do and you will be fine. She helps those who want to be helped.

pretty good teacher but boring. if you like to work alone your gonna hate this class. she puts you in groups for EVERYTHING! she doesnt give you that much work but the assignments are hard and time consuming she also gives you in class exercises that are pointless at times and not enough time to finish them and they are graded. it was an ok class.

pretty good teacher doesnt give you that many assignments. the ones that she does give you are hard and time consuming. she will make each assignment count a lot for your grade she also gives you pointless class exercises with not enough time to finish it that lowers your grade. one thing that she loves 2 do is put you in groups. it was an ok class

I am currently in Prof. Leon's class and I love the way she teaches. If you are looking for an easy "A" find another teacher. If you're looking for a teacher who will really help you build your writing skills and prepare you for the MANY papers you will be writing throughout your time in college, THIS IS THE TEACHER YOU WANT TO PICK!

Assigned a lot of work and was very picky when it came to grading. She would mark down the stupidest things. She has standards depending on your background. IE. My papers were always great and the girl who just got off the boat from Cuba had horrible papers! I would read that girls papers in peer review sessions and I'd wonder how she graduated high school. When we would get our papers back, the girl would get a better grade than I! What the hell. I'm an A student and got a B in this class.

Not helpful at all, you ask her a question the chances of her ignoring you are very high, she kind of insults you if you don't understand something and she is ALWAYS rolling her eyes, it's so annoying! And she doesn't grade fairly, if you answer fifteen questions from the book the work's value is five miserable points. Don't take her.

She's pretty bad, its not hard but don't expect her to help you. She doesn't explain what she needs to and then explains things that are super common sense. She also does really awkward eye movements, didn't really learn anything in the class.

She's very nice and helpful when you ask her questions, but I think there was only 2 days out of the whole semester that she DIDNT put us into groups, she put us into groups for everything. If you work better alone, then you might wanna rethink choosing this class. Also, she gives TONS of essay and reports to do. Chill class? I think not.

This teacher is way to demanding. Anything that is turned in to her is graded very poorly by her. Even if its a small mistake she will have the nerve to give you a zero on the paper. She is not clear as a professor and should try to undersatnd her students more rather than see them as things.

Professor Leon is cool but man does she assign a boatload of work! You HAVE to come to class for the most part. If you just want a chillin teacher/class she isn't the one you want to talk. Trust me, A LOT of work but as long as you do it and show up you're GUARANTEED to pass.

I'm halfway done for the 12 week summer semester and this teacher isn't that great. She grades very strictly and assigns a good amount of work. She's a pretty hard grader as well, but she is a good teacher just make sure you go to her office hours, she likes that.

Comment:

Nice, cute teacher, however..she puts you in groups for damn near everything, even stuff you can do on your own. It gets annoying after a while. Her attendance policy is high-schoolish, you can only have 4 absences, any more and you fail or have to drop.
