I really enjoyed her class. The topics that she chose for discussion are intriguing and actually engaged students. Prof. Kaimal is also a super friendly and sweet lady. She isn't a tough grader.

Terrible professor. Tried meeting with her during office hours and she is very unhelpful and even rude. I would strongly recommend that nobody take a course offered by her!

Professor Kaimal is one of my favorite professors I've had at Colgate! Readings are a must because she gives quizzes on them, and participation is essential. Even though I only took her for one class, she still says hi and talks to me when I see her around. Overall she is a wonderful professor and person!

Professor Kaimal is a bit of a joke. She is misleading, insincere and rather patronizing at times. Her ideas exist and unless you come to some "greater holistic understanding" of what she thinks, you plain can't do well in her course. Full of fluff, terrible assignments and truly pointless discussion. Avoid taking her class.

Professor Kaimal wants to be helpful & informative but falls short. I started the class w/ a basic appreciation of Indian culture & left w/ no more knowledge of the country's history, religions, etc, than when I started - poor execution& organization for such rich material. I commend her on her willingness to help pupils, tho she can be patronizing

Has little understanding of anything regarding the politics, economics, or history of India. Class is filled with buzzwords and platitudes. It is absolutely unacceptable to hold opinions that she does not share and she will grade accordingly. A rude and sometimes downright mean person. Could have learned more about India from it's Wikipedia page.

Kaimal is the worst professor I have had at Colgate. She is incomprehensible and extraordinarily unorganized. Her windbag-esque lectures are convoluted, her office hours are useless. It is easy to do well in her course, but class was painful to attend twice a week.

Take Professor Kaimal for Core India. She expects you to participate in the heavily discussion-based classes, and will push you to rethink uncomfortable issues life caste and sati. She's very clear, often humorous and classes are never boring. Vivid personality and effective teaching style. Overall, a wonderful person and professor.

Professor Kaimal is one of the nicest professors around. She is super knowledgable and organized! I became an art history major after taking her class! there's a lot of readings, but they are interesting. She can be a bit unclear about papers, but she's super helpful if you're confused about anything.

The only people that did not like this class are the ones who did not want to do the work. The material covered was interesting and given the attention it deserved. One of the BEST professors I’ve ever had. If you are interested in art history then I definitely recommend taking a class with Kaimal.

She comes off as a very nice professor. However, she is extremely fake! There is too much work for such a BS class, readings every night and have to post answers, rediculous. Her quizzes are easy but tedious, its like monkey work. She is extremely unclear about projects. Do not take!!!

This professor is a feel good professor. i did not learn anything in her class. You do an incredible amount of reading that is oversimplified and not talked about in any sort of depth. She not close to nothing about indian history, politics, and socioeconomic problems. Do not take her class.

Very good teacher, obviously interested in the subject matter and passes that interest to her students. CORE India was a great class, emphasis on a lot of the art of the period since she is in the Art History dept. Always gives lots of positive feedback
