Mrs. Golder is a great teacher. She is a tough grader, but I guarantee you will learn in her class if you participate. She also cares about her students. There is a lot of reading required, however, the topics are interesting and fun. I took Mrs. Golder for Eng 50 and 1A, if she offered 1B I would take it with her too!

Patty was literally the best! Basically, you have to write 5 essays, not including the in-class finale. For English 50 students you don't (I mean do not) have to write the 10 page research project, but no worries 1A students she practically gives you the outline and you just put in your own ideas. She is a very tough grader only because she cares.

Comment:

Professor Golder has been one of the toughest professors I have had. She is tough in grading essays and is helpful with feedback. I really enjoyed her class regardless of how hard it was. She is really down to earth and sweet. Listen and be ready to write.

Dr. Golder was the greatest professor I have ever had. She is hilarious, very open to opinions, and is open to extensions if the whole class needs it. Tough grader but is very good at what she does. Allows a lot of peer editing. If you need clarification on a topic she explains it without making you feel stupid for asking.

She's really funny but shouldn't be teaching college. She's really opinionated about certain subjects and that's what she has you write on. Wrote 4 separate essays all on the same topic. Boring. Lots of peer editing. Doesn't teach, just assigns essays. Save your money, don't take her class.

. She really takes the time to help you understand what she wants and how you need to do it. She is passionate about her work and honestly just the bubbliest funniest professor out there I am sure. Sure her grading is a bit tough but she writes more than enough comments on your paper so you know what to fix. Overall the most amazing lit professor

Essay every 3 weeks, a couple of timed writing but sometimes would let the class take it home to finish. Peer editing. Grammar &writing mechanics important in essays, a whole letter grade can go down. Tough grader &did not feel I improved as a writer, she didn't give a lot of room for opinion in our essays she would draft an outline we had to use

Patty is a really great/interesting teacher but she is definitely a tough grader! The first paper due, most of the class will receive a D. Patty is sometimes unclear and wishy washy with what exactly she wants. She is a really funny teacher and her class is never boring.You will learn a lot from Ms. Golder, but be prepared for a lot of work!

I took English 1A this spring with this teacher Mrs. Golder. She is a good teacher that will teach you a lot. There is a lot of great topics she covers and it makes you think you open your eyes about life. She is a hard grader, good sense of humor, but sometimes rude. Overall if you want to learn take her, you definitely will learn and will improve

Had Golder this past spring for english 1a. Tough grader but truly teaches you and makes you a better writer. First paper most the class will get a D but as you go through the class it gets easier. highly recommend her. Essay topics are interesting and she always makes class exciting.

Golder is so legit. she knows what she's talking about, and obviously loves teaching. Grades kinda harshly, but I guess thats expected from an English class, plus she makes her expectations very clear. On top of that, she's really nice and funny. Definitely not a boring class. If you want to learn from an excellent teacher, i highly recommend her

Sweet lady. Picks interesting topics so its not so bad to read about the topic. Class discussions get really interesting since she picks topics that most people have a strong opinion on so I doubt the class will stay quiet during class discussions. Have so many nice things to say about her.

awesome teacher! golder really knows what shes talking about. took her in the summer and it wasnt a drag being in the class. really recommend her.she is very helpful! very nice lady and funny.
