I would say a very good Math teacher. Unfortunately some of the class had trouble keeping up with him and he was often forced to repeat simple things he taught earlier. I keep this teacher in very high regard because I visited his office and saw he had actually practiced his lecture before class. That's dedication.

Baartmans is the worst math teacher I've ever had. If you take his class, plan on teaching yourself the material. He does not give out reviews for the exams so prepare for everything. If you have him in Fisher 135, sit in the front row, otherwise you can't read the blackboard/his writing

Al is an extremely nice, fun teacher. Abstract is a tough tough course and he just writes the book on the board. The book and lectures are extremely tough to understand. He gives us MULTITUDES of homework. All theory tough questions that I have no clue how to do. Quizzes and exams are fairly easy though.

Filled in for original teacher halfway through semester and was able to continue the class in a clear and understandable manner. Tests were not too difficult but hard enough to make you think. Easy to understand and very willing to help students learn.

He's a great guy and knows how to make the class laugh. Lectures can be a little unclear at times, but he's awesome at office hours. He wants nothing more than for his students to succeed.
