My favorite teacher on the planet. Knowledgable& encouraging Amazing stories. What a life this professor has lived. She went back to school at 45 and incredibly received her BA, Masters and Ph.d. She was also a famous singer. She's quite helpful but won't put up with crap excuse or lack of attendance. Just show up, do your best and you'll be fine.

her class is easy to pass, just turn in the work and do the essays.. but the only thing is that she accused me of plagiarizing and had no proof and when i confronted her about it she just blew me off. so that made me upset but i passed the class so whatever i guess... :/

Her unorganized nature made the class confusing. Main textbook is the worst book I've ever read and is extremely long and boring. She does engage in interesting dicusssions in class, but often times they have nothing to do with what we need to know. 1 project, 1 research paper, 2 exams. Weekly homework assignments from texts.

I had her at Antelope Valley College for a wonderful semester. Great teacher, very helpful and will let you correct your research paper one time! She wants you to learn, and was very professional about describing marriage and family life. Wish she was teaching up here again! Thank you!

I took her course online and I love her. Her class was very interesting and I would recommend her to anyone is passionate about pan african studies. She developed very interesting and valid discussion questions online. I have to say that you have to keep up with reading. She gives review page for midterm and as long as you read, you will pass.

Nice lady, but ALWAYS goes off topic. Very understanding... However shes a tad bit unorganized and it gets kind of annoying. The midterm and the final were easy tho. Overall, shes a pretty okay teacher. Easy A. I'd recomend her.

Worst teacher I have ever had! Her class is like a sophomore high school class. Very Ridiculous! Always goes off topic and talks about how she is discriminated here in the US so much and how every black person in history is discriminated, which has nothing to do with assignments or tests. Her class is easy, but favors the women. Try to AVOID!

very easy.. at first she seemed a little unorganized, but a study guide was given for the midterm and final that had the exact same questions, so you dont even have to read. and she gives you one letter grade higher if u do two extra credit assignments. just get the study guides for the two tests and you'll receive an A.

She's adorable, and sooo sweet. She talks about Canada too much tho. She's one of the few PAS teachers that actually stays on tasks....well she kinda does. But overall, she cool. She's kind of unorganized so i was worried about my grade. But if she likes you, you'll like her grade
