I really didn't have any interest in programming but I actually did learn a lot in the class. Conrad is gone now, but he did an excellent job at UD. I actually skipped his class quite a bit, and he emailed me asking me why I wasn't attending. He actually cared and remembered students names. Had a neat wiki to help keep communications flowing.

I was not interested in comp sci at all before this class, now I think matlab is really cool. Conrad is a energetic and fun teacher. He is always available for help. The labs took awhile, but that's where you learned the most. I highly recommend Prof. Conrad.

Terrible Jokes, Awesome Prof. It's unfortunate I've completed the semester, and that he doesn't teach history or another subject next semester. The class is fun and easy. I disagree with comments about not learning anything useful. You will learn if you put in a little effort. Like many things you get out of the class what you put into it.

I didn’t like computer programming at all before this class but now it’s my favorite subject. Mr. Conrad really makes the class interesting and it is very easy to ask him questions.

Very practical teaching style. If you do the exersices you will learn a lot of stuff that is actually useful after graduation! imagine that! the course is worth more than just the good grade. kinda wish it went into more depth instead of trying to cover all the topics of web apps

The best teacher i have ever had. Highly recommended. i am taking his class again in the fall only because he is teaching it. If teachers were actors, he would have more emmy's than clint eastwood

While he is a really funny and great guy, I'm not happy about his teaching. As said earlier, we have not learned much. Too much time was spent on "less relevant" things (coughgnuplotcough) than on "The Big Three". Basically: the class is easy, but at the end things seemed rushed and were not taught correctly.

Everyone seems to like him because he's easy. I'm fine having a prof who's easy as long as I learn something. Learning how to write the same application five different ways in Java is not learning. Spent way too much time on Java and not enough on other useful topics. We learned absolutely nothing new in the month between second exam and final.

This class is so easy...but you learn nothing. I am sitting in his class right now and he's rambling about santa claus with a project due on Monday. We havn't covered half of what we are supposed to and I feel unprepared for CISC 220. Harvey > Conrad, end of story.

I've had it with Conrad. The man is scatter brained and useless. He doesn't answer emails, he doesn't grade things quickly, and he gets ridiculously off topic when you ask him a simple question. The class has no structure or reason to it, and there are too many different sources you have to check to get updates. All in all a big waste of time.

He gets pretty off topic in class but when directly asked a question about something is very helpful, very nice guy, doesn't take attendance, grade is basically labs, projects and tests, and tests aren't very hard

He is not a bad teacher if you put in the effort to go to class. To those that slack off and dont put in the effort, he wont be to willing to help out. Definitely see him during office hours and always go to class. He ends up memorizing everyone's names anyways... Super hyper, lots of energy.. definitely not a class you'll fall asleep in

Very sweet guy. He does everything in his power to help you understand. Although attendance isn't really mandatory, he gets very upset when a great deal of people don't show up, to the point where he hands out extra credit points for those that do. Labs are kind of hard, but TAs are great and help through everything. Def take this class.
