Roth is an unreal guy. I have at least 1-2 classes with him per semester due to my major and he is understanding about almost everything. If you don't like to read though you might find his classes a little difficult. He usually spends the class reviewing what you were supposed to read and the tests are textbook heavy.

Smart and knows what he is talking about but he is opinionated and arrogant. He doesnt care about others opinions so dont bother debating him. Just read, go to class, take notes, and study them before the exams.

difficult teacher to get along with; he is a know it all who is very condescending toward students. Tough luck if you get him for IC; made us do a TON of work when other classes did hardly any at all.

this guy is a toolbag. Avoid him at all costs. He's a pretty smart guy, but in the wrong profession. Horrible teacher and extremely difficult grader. He's condescending, arrogant, and has you do an INSANE amount of tedious, meaningless busy work. If you hate writing papers, stay away from the Wrath of Roth.

This professor should not be teaching media classes. Look at all the negative remarks... that many people can't be wrong! He taught Avio's when AVID's were available. He has no knowledge of the "real world!" Avoid this Prof like the Plague!

I had this guy when he first got hired. Came in and insulted the whole class his first day. So many students complained about him that the dean came to see his class. This guy is full of himself. Those who can't teach Roth! He may have been good in his administrative position but he should not be teaching students.

I recall a lot of people being agitated with having his classes. But overall, there was less tedious work, and more time to grasp the topics, readings, etc. He was a savior in Media Law, got rid of the nightmare term paper for us. It was a struggle to stay awake sometimes, but overall he was low-key, and had interesting this to say. I felt lucky to have him after hearing about the extra work some of the other prof's gave, which ultimately doesnt aid you that much.
