This was THE worst class I have ever taken! He was NO help at all. He expected us to learn from My Math Lab and watch the videos on there (which did not clarify anything). You know you have a bad teacher if one of the classmates curses him out for not showing us anything! Definitely would not recommend his class to other students!

Comment:

He's a very nice professor. It's hard to grade easiness because it really depends on how good you are at math. Math is easy for me so the class was a breeze. For someone else it could be a nightmare. However, he is very willing to help you for hours on end so that you understand fully what you are doing. All in all a good professor.

DON'T DO IT. You don't learn anything from him. he doesn't realize that not everyone learns the same way. He lets you take the final twice if you finish the course early. He didn't mark on my final that I could use a calculator. I had to accept my first attempt grade of an C-, my intention was to see what to expect, so expect a complete disappoint

I am really liking this professor. he always makes sure im getting the material. we are aloud to retake quizes as many times as we want and even do test corrections if we dont do as well after we take the test three times. he will help you even if your schedual doesnt match his office hours. he is very helpful and i would deffinetly recommed him!

Great teacher. He lets the class retake quizzes if it looks like a majority is struggling. Will help you even during a quiz. Responds right away to emails if you need help. I wish he was teaching the next math I am taking!

He was the worst math teacher I have ever had in my entire life. DO NOT take math with him. There was never a single A grade on anyones test in the class. He made the work extremely difficult to understand and was not helpful at all.

Had to withdrawal from the class because it was so bad. Would not help unless he saw more effort. Class was boring. Test didnt have a whole lot on it that we had learned. Lots of homework. Nice guy but not a good teacher.

This professor tried to withdraw me because I was homeless for two months and had to work around the bus schedule, thus making me late a bunch of times, despite the fact that I had a B+ in his class and e-mailed him letting him know what was going on. He has literally made me cry. He seems to be a good person but his expectations are unrealistic.

if more than 70% of your class gets an F or a D there is obviously an issue with the teacher. his grading is ridiculous and if it's not his way, it's wrong. has all of his hw assignments done on webassign, which is a pain in the butt. not a good teacher at all. do not take!

Had him for Calc 1.Nice guy, very willing to help,but hard to do well.He had us do our homework on Webassign,which is extremely difficult.I wished he had given regular hw out of the book.Gave a quiz nearly every class,hw counts as part of grade.Makes very hard tests.Attendance is important,and he adds 4 points onto final grade for perfect attendace

Professor Stewart is a terrible teacher. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy sometimes but the worst teacher I've ever had. The homework is so much harder and not similar to what you learn in class if you manage to learn anything at all. He expects you to know EVERYTHING prior to attending his class. And he is way way way too hard on grading

Mr. Stewart is a nice guy but has poor teaching skills. Attending his class is like watching paint dry. Very mono-tone, reads out of the book, word for word, page for page, hardly ever calls on students. Our class average was a 60, no extra credit or make ups. If you're a poor math student like me, Mr. Stewart isn't one who will pass for effort.

Worst math teacher I've ever had. Was failing his class with a 40 and then took the same class with Christy Fogal the next semester and got a 98. Much better off taking it with her. He puts problems on tests from chapters that we didn't go over yet in class.

Problem of the day quiz every every. Homework every night. Very helpful if you don't understand a concept.Tough grader; you could get all the right answers on a test and still fail if you didn't show your work the way "he" would have done it.

He expects that you have certain knowledge of basic Algebra. The class moves pretty quick. There is a quiz every single class but can significatly help your grade. Homework also for every class which you take online but have unlimited tries on the homework. You should get 100% on the homework. Be prepared to super study.

I think the best phrase to describe him is from Full Metal Jacket "I am hard but I am fair, the more you hate me the more you will learn". You will learn a lot in his class, there isnt no messing around. The P.O.D make sure you kmow your stuff and when the test comes you be like "nice I done this before". Recomend!
