I am sure that Dr. Fanning is a nice man, but I have never heard scripture more twisted to fit someone's agenda. He also hardly ever backs up his statements and makes gross generalizations. The online tests were due before he even lectured on the material. I do not know a single person who has liked that class. Take it online!

Awful university professor. He is the worst "missions" professor. His entire theology is not built on a gospel of grace but on obeying the commands of scripture. The gospel is a gospel of grace, not simply "obeying the commands" and this is where Fanning's theology goes wrong, his philosophy of missions goes wrong, and he is creating Pharisees.

Fanning is a great man but a horrible professor. never have I been under someone who was so incapable of being clear. Because of his inability to express his thought clearly he often came across as borderline offensive in his views on missions. If you were not going into full time missions over seas he had a habit of trying to guilt you for it.

if you read any negative comments about this professor, then the student should not have taken this class! if you want to be a missionary or involved in missions, then this is the class for you!! i have learned soo much from this class and i loved it soo much! it was what i looked most forward to during the whole semester!

I'm not by any means lazy with my school work. He's a terrible teacher, not slandering this is just my opinion, He does have amazing life stories but aside from those stories he has nothing in his teaching arsenal other than facts that he vomits at you and expects you to absorb. My class was totally unorganized as well. Take the online class.

Ok people who left negative comments about Dr. Fanning, you are lazy and don't understand that your in college. He is a great Proff. his passion about missions stirred me in to a ICST major. yes class may have seemed boring at times but so do all classes. He is a good teacher with good real life examples that make class interesting. take him.

Took him for Intro to Missions and loved it. He's a great guy, really passionate about his teaching & missions. There is a quiz online every week and it's open book. as if that doesn't make it easy enough, you get 2 attempts on the quizzes so if you don't like your first grade you can take it again. I would recommend this class for everyone.

Passionate is the word to describe Dr. Fanning. He is obedient and therefore has been used by God in many ways. He will rely upon the Bible for the truth, which angers many in the class. If you have a conviction about the accuracy of the Bible and for the salvation of souls, you will like him. If you care about being entertained...grow up.

Dr. Don Fanning’s “intro to missions” class is the best ever! A lot of people don’t like the class, but I enjoy it so much. I would suggest that you take it even if your not going into missions!

Made an A and made I deemed that class "Nap for the day" Super easy. For my class, he let us take quizzes and tests online as many times as we wanted until we got the grade we liked. After you take the test or quiz you see all the answers, then you just go back and do it again and get a 100!!! super easy!

Good guy, great heart for the Lord, but boring as all get out. The class was extremely easy, I slept through it all. I even fell asleep before he was done saying his first announcement but I knew everything he was teaching already, if you just want an easy grade he's your man.

This professor is very sincere and kind...I had him for evan. I DID not learn much but he constantly had us memorize key verses for/quizzes that i will still remember for evan. i got some new pointers for evan. Personally, the guy rating it under me makes me laugh...he bashes him and then says he's going to be a missionary!
