Couldn't be bothered to teach, regularly told us to look at the book and left the class an hour early. If he provided feedback it was always unclear. He took way too much pride in being "tough." Maybe it was his way of simulating the workplace, but it only came across as smug and unnecessarily callous. He's a smart guy, but he's hard to respect.

SAD textbook is online. Exams pull questions from book, but there's over 200 options per test. Whole class is based on group project. Presentations will make or break you. He has made people cry in them. Very funny, but very rarely teaches. Run just like a work project, so great for real-world 'experience.' Make sure you get a good group and study

He ran the class like a professional project manager and it really worked. He grades tough but is always willing to help. Being good at presentations will be important for most of the class.

Honestly one of the best professors I think I'll ever have. He was interesting to listen to which made coming to class easy. As long as you get a good group project members, this class is an easy A. You also have to be willing to study for the exams since they are all short answers and drawing diagrams.

Very little lecturing, but do yourself a favor and take notes on everything he says when he does. Class is based on a semester group project. The assignments can get confusing so make sure to ask questions. Dr. Baker can come off as mean, but he will try to help if you ask. 3 exams, final presentation, group projects.

Hands down the best professor in the COB. He will get you ready for the real business world. Many professors teach from an academic standpoint which doesn't always correlate with real world. Barker has actual business experience and prepares you for life after school. He doesn't mess around and every student in the business school should take 410.

Comment:
This class is based around a semester group project. Tests are questions from the book, it's helpful to read more important sections. Dr. Barker does minimal lecturing, if you need clarification he's available to ask questions to though. He can come off harsh, but overall isn't a bad person. The hands-on experience provided a better way to learn.

This class will be the most rewarding 16 weeks of your undergraduate career! He is able to tie in information from every other business class into one course (and show you how much you've forgotten). You will need to read 8+ books and multiple case studies/ articles, so be prepared to devote at least 8 hours a week outside of class. GO TO CLASS

Dr. Barker knows what he is talking about and can teach you a lot. The class is 90% group work and as long as you get your assignments done on time the class will be a breeze. He is very generous with grading and tells you the questions that will be on the test.

Overall, Dr. Barker is a smart guy and a good teacher. However, you have to make sure you go to class and pay attention to exactly what he says. He is really bad about switching up what he says from day to day and changing his mind from what is on the syllabus so make sure you ask questions, even if you are afraid he will come back snarky.

One of my favorite teachers I've taken. Straight forward and helpful. The entire semester you'll be working with a group and as long as you do the assignments and do decent on the tests you will get an A or B. He is not so worried about grades, more that you are learning the material. I wish more teachers were like this.

If you put forth the effort and try, the class isn't terrible. Sure, it's a little dated but everything you learn in college for IT is dated because it's always changing. Tests are long, but he tells you exactly what will be on them.

Fairly easy class. He focuses on the client project, and your test are the essay questions at the end of the chapters from the book. Test are time consuming to study for, but not to bad. Project work is easy.

Fantastic professor. Knows his stuff. He will teach you to be proficient in business theories and how to be successful. this class is a lot of work but VERY rewarding. If they could, other business school students should take this class. it will help you in future and current jobs and is the only class that can really be applied everyday.

Interesting professor, but lectures are mainly off topic and tests are usually not covered. Probably could have done just as well if I just read the book and took the test.
