Dr. Cappuccino is a very nice guy, but I could not learn from him. I'm honestly not sure how a human being is able to write and talk so fast. He doesn't really give very many opportunities to to ask questions either. The material he assigns for take-home quizzes is so hard that it takes tutors about an hour to figure it out.

Yes, he runs through the material really fast, but I thought he was a great professor anyway. If you're willing to work hard, take Dr. Cacioppo. He's a great guy, really funny if he gets off topic. He explains why things work the way they do, which makes the subject a lot more interesting. Not a blow-off class, but definitely worth it!

Dr. Cacioppo is a really great teacher! He gives a lot of opportunities to get help if you are struggling such as nightly tutoring. He also invited us to attend his other sections of classes if we wanted to hear the material again. Really funny and smart guy. With him, you'll actually understand the reason behind the math you are doing.

He is challenging, but he is that way for our own good. Really loved taking his class, amazing Professor. You have a quiz almost everyday, based on the hw you had. He has 5 tests and a final, to do well on his tests practice all the questions on the quizzes, (really well) for that section and re do sme q's of the hw for revision.

I loved math before I took Calc I with him. I took Calc in highschool, but I was able to get help and ended with an A. Under Cacioppo, I barely have a C because he gives quizes everyday. I have been struggling with being sick with mono, and although I have attended every class, he refuses to be cooperative. He actually told his students to drop!

He's a little difficult to understand, but that's not the bad part. The bad part is that he is 100% unwilling to work with students. I had a friend who slept through an exam, catastrophic accident, and he would not let her make it up, so she failed. Worst professor at Truman.

Those who have rated Professor Cacioppo poorly are most likely very lazy students. He talks fast but is genuinely interested in helping students understand the concepts he is teaching. Most of his tests were non-calculator,but answers were easy to find. Also, when he would go off topic the class became extremely interesting and enjoyable.

He is an OK professor, but this is a difficult class. He can explain theorems and definitions, but he never goes over how to use the theorems in class. He rarely does example problems in class, and that made homework and tests difficult. If you dislike proofs like I do, consider a different professor.

He's an interesting guy. A lot of people in my class failed or had low grades. However I didn't find him that hard. He does go very fast and sometimes does not explain things but overall he's a pretty decent teacher. 15 quizzes, 4 tests, go to his office hours, he's a different person in there versus the classroom

Horrible professor. If possible, take Algebra with any other professor. He goes extremely fast and spends much of the class talking about the "bigger picture" in math, not about actual problems that might be on the test.

Had this class first semester and had trouble keeping up with the class. He moves fast. After class one day I talked to him for about an hour and a half and he helped me change my mindset to succeed in the class and even my other classes. He's a great guy and I still talk to him when I see him around campus even though I'm not in his class anymore.

Probably one of the best math professors you could ever ask for. He explains where each formula you use came from, to help you feel like you're not just a robot using formulas mindlessly. As a professor, he really wants students to succeed. The other day he had my class in tears from laughing so hard! No assigned homework, but you should practice.

He went way too fast for me to catch up. Once I got behind, my grade suffered and I had to drop the class. The tests weren't too bad, if you knew the material. There was no assigned homework, he just suggested you do similar problems from class that are in the book. Thats not motivation for me! I want credit for doing some work!

Caccioppo is a decent teacher when he actually teaches the material which is rare. He spends most of the time doing unnecessary proofs which are confusing and completely unnecessary. Tests are not too bad, but homework is graded before you have a chance to ask questions about it.

Prof Cacioppo went too fast for me at first, but I came to him after class and politely explained the situation. We ended up talking in his office for an hour and a half. Now he goes slower and is VERY sympathetic when I tell him I don't understand something.

The class is a GPA killer if you suck at math. But he's a nice guy for the most part. He's really open to answering questions, but sometimes he doesn't show up for office hours. He gives a lot of bonus for homework, which can help in making up for bad tests...but you can't do poorly on all of the tests or you will definitely fail the class.

He is one of the best! I have taken courses at this school and elsewhere. I have not come across any one with better grasp of the material or care for his students. He is very helpful. Most importantly, he does not make you feel small for asking questions.
