Dr Delnay had staunch beliefs that differed from mine, but he treated me with nothing but love. He knew our few differences were secondary issues. I quote his pithy comments still 17 years later. He saw the man I was behind the "rent-a-wreck". I was never accepted by the inside crowd, but Delnays classes kept me motivated. He saw the big picture.

Dr. Delnay always chided me for having my daily devotions at night. That aside, I thirsted to learn from every word which he spoke. I saw the Life of Christ as he taught. I constantly refer to his notes 30 years later. I even audited Pauline Epistles, to learn more from him! Thank you, sir!

This professor didn't believe that I was a Christian, but was unable to recall my name. For someone who claims to know the very depth of my heart, but can't point me out in a crowd or know my name from a class of 10, I'm sure he knows me enough to judge what only God can judge.

Took this class in Spring 2001, but Delnay stays with me. My favorite quote: "Love is purposing the good of the beloved at any cost, without any expectation of reward." And I loved watching him with his wife. Adorable!

His cults class was the only class I had with the man. All I can say was that he rocks and makes things fun. I mean how can you not love a teacher that says "kinky sex" from the front of the room. He is very down to earth and shows us guys how to really and truly love and respect our women and family and how to truly be a good man.

He knows what he's talking about through his own experiences! Very insightful about MOST things and always makes you think. While I may not agree 100% about what he says all the time, you must give him great credit for what he knows.
