Comment:

His class was strictly lectures, nothing else. He really knows his material and it's hard to keep up with him to take notes. Highly recommend using a voice recorder if you take him. Tests were based off the lectures so how well you do on the exam will basically be based on how well you took notes.

HORRIBLE! HE IS DEFINATELY THE WORST PROFESSOR I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!HE IS VERY OUTDATED! HIS TEST IS AS OLD AS THE WAR! DOES NOT ENGAGE HIS CLASS IN LECTURES! BORING, BORING, BORING! HE IS NOT A TEACHER, HE IS A BABBLER! AS IF HE'S TALKING TO HIS WAR BUDDIES! IT'S HARD TO TAKE NOTES, HE DOES NOT LIKE TO REPEAT! HORRIBLE!

Comment:

Very nice guy, must attend to pass since he has no slides and all tests are from his lectures, must keep up with what he says in class and take notes. Knows his stuff and curves well when tests are hard. Allows you to use your notes even on finals. I recommend him to anyone although some may label him as boring, remember its a history class..

This man really knows his history! He can go on and on and he is also very knowledgeable! Never needed a book just listen to his lectures and you will pass his tests. Tests were pretty easy. He does have a few confusing ones but if you ask he will help ya out! I would highly recommend him...I am even taking him again( Fall 07).

I had this guy winter 2007 do not take him flip flops around a lot very unorganized lecture sucks don't ask him any questions he hates to repeat himself test are tricky and do not buy the text book it is useless.

Loved him. He is very intellegent and explains everything very well. Didn't even have to read the book just tooks lecture notes and did excellent on test. Test were pretty easy anyway.

Professor Holland is a great teacher and very intellegent man. he makes you love america again if you currently hate it. his tests are very subjective and hard to answer but if you use commonj sense you'll figure it out. forces you to understand about how people view history and has a solid and interesting opinion on everything. u cant forget him.

Very boring. A lot of reading from like 8 different books you have to buy. Never heard of technology, still uses a typewritter for tests, and draws all the little circles by hand for answer sheets instead of scantron.
