Comment:

Prof. Sibley is amazing! Please take him! He really wants to make sure his students get the materials and will provide help sessions before exams! Noncumulative final, but there are pop quizzes and exams every 3 weeks (don't let that scare you just study for the MC and statistical is easy). I'm def taking hin again for 139!

Comment:

Professor Sibley is one of the best professors at SJSU. His lectures are in depth and although it is a difficult class, he is willing to go the extra mile to help you understand the material. He truly wants you to succeed in his class. I definitely recommend taking him!

Comment:

TAKE THIS CLASS. He is much more caring (and funny) in his lectures than many other professors I've taken at SJSU. His lectures are excellent and go in-depth on anything you may be stuck on. Yes, the tests are not the easiest (multiple choice not the statistical problem). If you apply yourself you'll have a genuinely good time in this class.

This professor wants you to succeed! You have a test every other week and a quiz in between. But all the quiz questions will be on the test.. soo FREE points! He explains the material really good. Make sure to take good notes bc you can use it on the statistical part of the exam. He is understanding and funny! Take him if you can!!

Hes hilarious. This is my second class with him, and its a 3 hour class at 6 pm on a Tuesday... not a walk in the park, but hes so funny, his lectures are so yo the point, and his real life examples are so useful, I dont care about the 3 hours! If you have a chance, TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM!

One of the best professors at SJSU, take him if you can. The class is a difficult class, but he teaches it very carefully so everyone understands. There are 5 total exams, 5 in class pop quizzes (usually before the midterm day). He does allow open notes for the math portions of the exams. NO homework, but there is a lot of reading, keep up with it.

Professor Sibley is one of my favorites! He makes this class which is supposed to be one of the most difficult, manageable. Open note sections of the exams are LIFE SAVING. 5 total exams, no homework but gives optional problems for practice, not too much reading, hilarious, breaks down info into a more relatable way that's easier to apply. TAKE HIM

Class: Lecture for a month and then start a game simulation online. Awesome/fun/and interesting class. Professor: He's always available for students and genuinely cares. professor sibley... definitely take him!! he is so helpful! if you have any questions he works with you to make sure you understand the material. His tests are not easy but if you study you'll do well. Overall i loved this professor! 10/10 recommend!!

Sib Sib! I love him! This class is hard no matter who you take it with but believe me when I tell you that you should 100% take this class with Sibley. I am NOT a math person and it is really hard for me to study and learn the material in class- but he offers help sessions nights before tests and I learn it much better there. Super caring and nice

Took marketing capstone with Sibley and it was a lot of fun! He gives straight lectures with optional textbook. Nothing on Canvas. Midterm is straight forward. 2nd half of the semester we played a marketing simulation game where we used in-game market data and tried to achieve global domination as a company. Very chill class, he's very helpful too!

An awesome lecturer. He would take an extra step to help his students succeed in this class by hosting study sessions. As for the quizzes and exams, the multiple was somewhat disorganized. The textbook had a few errors and this was not helpful. So it would be helpful to clarify with him on the concepts. Work in groups to do the math problems.

so awesome! kind of reminds you of your funny uncle. super easy stuff. basic stats stuff like chi squared, anova, normal distribution.. easy if you thought 90 was easy. lots of tests and quizzes though. but it is non cumulative. MC on scantron about 40 ?s and then open book and notes for math portion. very clear and approachable. MC is basic vocab

This guy is a fun and cheerful. You have 5 tests instead of midterms and random quizzes which can be at anytime so attendance is mandatory. The Tests are the hard part of the class. He does give you problem and it's open note but he makes the tests harder than problems previously given. If you try you will at least get a B.

Sibley is seriously the best teacher I have ever had in my entire life! He knows so much about marketing and you can learn SO much from him! I recommend him to anyone and everyone! You will definitely love him!!

Sibley makes the math portion of the class very clear. The M/C portion of the exams are the hard part. He gives you 10 question quizzes that are word for word on the test. He rarely keeps you for the 2hr and 45min of class. Overall he is an awesome texan who loves his Arby's! He's worked in the field so he knows what he is talking about!

I took this class around 2 years ago in the fall of 2008. The class was medium. However, the professor was nice. The midterm was the hardest because there were M/C and problems which I didn't do too good but I passed. Getting a good group to do the game was very essential if you want to get out with a good grade. I had and end up with a B.

Several pop quizzes, and 5 exams. Too many exams if you ask me, especially when you can't drop any of them. Quiz can only help. Boring class but Sibley made it tollerable. Great personality... this Texan loves his Arby's and cares about his students. 1/2 conceptual M/C questions, 1/2 problems where you can use notes.

Great teacher! He's really clear with his examples. He allows open notes for the statistical portion of his tests-which belive me its Easy!! He is really patient, and will help you on your midterms/final. I can't wait to take him for BUS 139! Also, there's no HW!! This class is pretty easy! Take him!!

Bus 138. Sibley lecture are very clear and you have to be in class to know how to solve the problem. 5 exams and pop quizzes if there less people attending. Textbook use few time only for quizzes and exams. He really helpful if you're confuse. Cool professor. Definitely take this class. Always full class when ppl try to add.
