Great teacher. Explained things well with connections. Easy exams and fair grading. Kind. Interesting class, too.

this class was pretty easy. he changed the format of the test after the first one from a mixture of multiple choice and short answer to all multiple choice because it was easier for him to grade. he's a nice kind of goofy guy. i never paid attention in class and got a A-. just print off his lecture slides and go to class and you'll be fine.

Wallace is the nicest guy in the world. He understands the pressures we have on us and will give you extensions if you need one. I overslept and missed an exam, but he made time for me that day to make it up. He isn't the greatest at explaining the material, but his tests are fairly easy (based right off of his slides) given you study.

Wallace is a great guy. He is lenient, a relatively easy grader, and extremely nice. He is passionate about the subject, but he really isn't that great a teacher. You will learn something if you take it upon yourself to understand the material. His exams are easy, based right off the slides, no tricks.

Even though Wallace seemed like a very good guy, his class was mad boring. If you have a good recitation teacher (Vasquez is the man) then you'll be fine. If you didn't have a good physics program in high school, you'll probably have a hard time.

He clearly is very interesting in the material, but is sort of hard to follow. Better off just printing the lecture slides off blackboard yourself, and taking notes from the text.

Get a good lab instructor, because Wallace is so boring and doesn't give any study tests. He doesn't even really want to go over tests with you because he's very protective of the questions. Pataki gives you 4-5 past tests to study off of. Wallace says the questions are going to be general, but that's not completely true.

Professor Wallace was a great professor. I was not interested in the topics at all so sometimes lectures would be boring, but overall he was really helpful and such a nice guy. The tests weren't too bad either if you studied.

If I could have picked a negative number as a rating for helpfulness, I would have. I don't understand why he is still teaching beause he seems to not like students. Also, he gives you a 'study exam'- which suggests that that is what you should study, right? WRONG! I studied the 'study guide' and I would have been better off studying a phone book

Ok, his class is really boring, but it's easy at the same time. If you have to choose between Wallace or Pataki, Wallace is definitely a better choice since his exams are all "studiable" and relatively easier. Some people find his exams tricky because they do not read the questions carefully because they pick an answer. Overall, Wallace is easy.

Wallace is SO nice, people only bad mouth him b/c they failed. Have to go to lecture, if you take good notes and study them, you'll ace the exams even if you hate science (worked for me). Wallace obviously LOVES what he's teaching which makes the class less boring. I MISS THAT JOLLY GUY!

I cannot say enough bad things about this man. GPA ruiner. He is incredibly boring, does not have office hours, will not return e-mails, and give you a study guide that doesn't prepare you at all for his test. If you MUST take him, get Vazquez as a recitation prof- he's great! But when I hear the name "Wallace" now, I have to try to not vomit.

This class is easy as long as you study. I am a science dummy, haven't taken any science class in high school and still get an A, mostly because I REALLY studied for it. Exams aren't hard at all, they are pretty general and straight forward; pay attention to the key words in exams and MUST go to lecture, he tells you what you need to know there.

do yourself and your gpa a favor and avoid this teacher. he's a nice guy and interested in what he's teaching, but the tests are hard (even if you go to lectures, take notes and study), the questions basically come out of nowhere, and it's the class is just completely boring.

Very interesting class when you get to relativity. The first half is not bad at all- just have a general idea of the people and their ideas and the test is easy. Second half gets a bit harder, more applying concepts than facts- next test. He's a nice guy, really interested in what he's teaching. He should expand Einstein to be more of the course.

SOOOOOO easy. If you took high school bio you know everything already. Doesn't expect much, which is good. Teaches the history of science mostly and concentrates on evolution and DNA. My only complaint would be that he pronounces "after" as "ifter," which threw me off for the first couple of lectures.

Not an easy class. I felt like the test questions came out of nowhere and I attended all his lectures, took notes, printed the outlines off the internet, and (occasionally) read the textbook. Lectures are long and boring, but you can tell that he enjoys teaching (especially when it has to do with Darwin), but I didn't enjoy any aspect of this class
