Robyn is great I wish I could've taken more classes with her. Asking her questions in class is a blast because she knows everything about the material she presents and can always at least give an educated guess. She has a ton of spunk and seems like she loves her job

Comment:

Robyn is great. She gives you the questions from the readings that will be on the exam so all you need the book for is to look up those answers. You need to go to lecture. She only posts pictures of the art but all the info comes from lecture so take notes. Entire grade is 4 exams. Exams are easy if you attended class. Highly recommend.

Comment:

Robyn is truly an awesome professor. But don't go taking art history courses for liberal ed requirements if you don't enjoy history - it'll be boring and you risk a bad grade. Aside from that, she's extremely passionate about what she teaches and she expands on info in lecture. There's only four grades - all exams. I'd definitely take her again.

Comment:

Robyn is one of the best professors I have had. She is very passionate about her teaching and the subject and it shows through her lectures. If you have any concerns she is very sweet and easy to talk to; you can tell that she wants you to succeed. Take detailed notes and study for tests! They are a little tricky.

I believe my grade was solely dependent on test grades, so take time to study. The class was all lecture, but Robyn does a great job of making them interesting, as she is very passionate about the subject. I would love to have her again as a professor. Take detailed notes.

Comment:

Robyn is an amazing professor. She is so passionate about what she is teaching and it makes her lectures extremely interesting to listen to! Her tests equal your grade, so taking good notes in her class is essential to doing well on her tests. There is an online text, but I didn't use it much. Her tests mainly come from her lectures.

I absolutely love Robyn, she is so passionate about art and it really shows in her lectures. She always expresses how her door is open to go over past tests and papers. I recently had to write a paper for her class and she got them back within 3 class times which is impressive for a lecture class.

Very thorough teacher and explains things very well. I thought the tests were reasonably easy and she is generally a very nice person. Just make sure if you skip, you get the notes from someone else that was there, because the tests will be a lot harder then.

This teacher= worst teacher ever. She took points off of my test for not explaining that pigments were spit through a persons mouth onto the cave walls, (i just said they spit the pigment onto the cave walls, apparently that answer wasn't good enough) and refused to give me the 1pt that would've given me a B instead of B-. she does not care about u

Robyn is wonderful. She's not only intelligent but extremely helpful as well, and passionate about her work, which makes her fun to listen to. I literally was dreading this class but couldn't have been happier with having taken it. There is very little textbook use, pretty much everything comes from the notes. She's great!

She is great! She makes it interesting (when I had absolutely no interest in art previous to this class) and her tests come directly from the notes. She doesn't try to trick you. Go to class and take good notes and you will do great. I never opened my book and got an A, don't buy the book!!

Her class is very interesting. I like to listen to the lectures and learn much from them, but her exams and in class writings, I feel, do not reflect the knowledge I have learnt. The exams and writings are timed and asks for a lot of information and detail that I feel too stressed and never get what she's "looking for."

She can move along pretty fast and most of the exam questions are from the lectures (I didn't use my book). I suggest taking notes on your computer so you can e-mail them to others for their notes. Exams aren't hard. Once you get used to the pace it's an enjoyable class.

best prof i've had at umd. she's genuine and passionate. and brilliant. not a single test in the class i took. grade came from participation, in-class writings, and a 10 pg term paper. class attendance is mandatory, but i didn't mind.

She's a great lecturer, her lower level classes are all multiple choice tests, and her upper levels are all essays. Very intense classes, but always structured and consistent. She is positive, friendly, and HATES to be called "Doctor."

I took World Art History 2 with her, and I really enjoyed it. For me, the class was difficult, but very interesting. I managed a B. I learned so much. It's like Robyn is a walking encyclopedia. I didn't really enjoy the tests so much though. They're tricky, but thank God Robyn didn't test us on specific dates. You don't really need the book eit
