Absolutely amazing professor. You need to attend lectures and take good notes but he makes the class and subject material very interesting and entertaining. Always tells you when there will be a quiz or an essay due. Very helpful with feedback and preparing students for essays and the final. Awesome class!

Great teacher. Such interesting stories that he incorporates into his lectures. 2 big papers, usually 2 announced quizzes on the hw readings. Amazing life; father was a movie star, he was Muhammad Ali's body guard, friends with Liza Minnelli & Ringo Star, helped create Hard Rock Cafe, many more! GOOD AS A NIGHT CLASS.

I am surprised this man has any positive ratings. His class is one of the worst i have taken at Marist. He is a bully and is extremely mean and negative to students. avoid this class at all costs. final is IMPOSSIBLE!

I actually for once can say I learned something in history class. He makes the class interesting with stories from his own personal life and tells a lot of jokes. There are two research papers and two major exams. He is a very fair grader and if you pay attention and take good notes you shouldn't get less than a B.

Really fun and interesting class, he had a cool life growing up and doesn't hesitate to talk about it... but if I was friends with Mohammad Ali, Hugh Hefner, Bob Dylan, and my dad won an Academy Award- I wouldn't keep it a secret either. 2 papers which you are more likely to do well on if you choose a more obscure topic. Hard final, study a lot.

Professor Brynner is not all he is cracked up to be. I found him incredibly rude and condescending and was offensive to my political beliefs. Never in my life have I been so offended by a professor. He thinks he is a lot more important than he is - just another pushy liberal.

Amazing teacher. Tells the greatest stories of real life experiences and his experiences are crazy. One of the luckiest childhoods and teenage years. Can teach you a lot about history and life lessons. Easy class and easy to go to. Defiantly take this class with Rock.

Professor Brynner is amazing. He truly makes history "come to life" with his crazy tales and down-to-earth manner. Take detailed notes, pay attention (which is easy to do in his class), and you should do well. I'd recommend him to anyone :)

Took for America Since 1945. Great class cuz its the 62 years (or so) that he's been alive. Lived a famous childhood and it helps teach the class. 2 longish papers and a final listing as many historical events as you can will get you an A. TAKE THIS CLASS!

Awesome guy, has lots of good stories since his father was famous. Wants you to learn how past events got us where our society is today. Easy to contact through email & sends you interesting info. Grading system is unclear- take notes & listen, 1 pop quiz on reading, 2 papers on topic of your choice & final (write detailed timeline of 80 facts).
