Amazing professor. very smart man, knows exactly what he's talking about. His attendance is very important, gives you clicker points in the end very helpful. His tests are heavily on class notes. will call you out for having phone in class, demands respect. Not an easy A and frankly very hard for 2000 level class, but doable.

Dale's intro classes are tough for their level. Attendance isn't mandatory but it might as well be, because the test are heavily lecture-based. You'll learn more than you would in any intro INR class, but you have to show up, take notes, and study. Dale is fair, and let my friend who overslept take the final late with no penalty. He's a good guy.

DONT TAKE THIS CLASS. Such a hard class for an Intro level course. Expects students to have a broader knowledge than necessary, which hinders the student's ability to do well in the course. Do not take this class unless International Relations is your major/favorite thing in the whole world.

Long boring lectures, and the tests are very difficult but based on them. It is a super interesting subject though.

This class was extremely interesting, and he is a great lecturer. You need to read every chapter of the book and lecture notes to do well on the exams. tests aren't cumulative, so thats a plus. Its a really great class, but you have to work for the grade you want.

If you attend class and read a chapter every week, you'll do fine. His tests really aren't that bad if you actually put in some effort studying. He has 3 MC options instead of the normal 4. Also, the iClicker points can boost your grade by a whole letter! He can be a bit dry at times, but he really knows what he's talking about. I've learned a lot!

International Political Economy was a tough course. Expect to commit to a week of prep before exams. Also his slides are not online, better pay attention in class. He explains the material clearly, there's just a lot of it. Be prepared to read because he will throw in a few questions from the book. No extra credit. He's kinda snooty

Dr. Smith is the best Political Science professor I have had at FSU. He's great at what he does and really shows that he cares for his students. Tests are hard though, so if you take this class expect to read the textbook and do a lot of memorizing.

Dr. Smith is one of the best Professors at FSU. Extremely knowledgeable and a great communicator. Class is almost completely lecture, so if you're into the material, and hate dumb group projects, this is the class for you. Also possesses a dry sense of humor that gets better and better with time. Highly reccommended

Dr. Smith can be a little dry at times. His lectures should be used as supplements to the book. We just took our first exam and I didn't realize how much I didn't know until I started going to a study group a week before the exam, and that's coming from someone with perfect attendance. He's there for help and I would definitely take him again.

A very knowledge professor but the class was not easy. The most difficult class of mine that semester. Gives i-clicker questions and gives the extra credit which was very helpful.

Knowledgable professor who gives detailed and expansive lecture notes. His tests are based on these notes and the study guide questions for the textbook. Willing to help during office hours. Gives extra credit points for showing up to class. Very pass-able if you study the class notes and read. Grade is based on just 3 exams.

I took his class as a political science major and this is one of my subsections. He is very smart and interesting to listen to but there is a lot of material to study. He gives expansive and detailed notes but also a study guide strictly on the book. It's a choice which to study but his test goes over everything. It's 50 questions and that's it.

Gives you extra credit just for coming to class (can bring you up an entire letter grade). His tests are not difficult if you read the book and listen to his lectures that coincide completely with the book material. He is very clear about what he wants; his study guides outline the entire test. One of my favorite teachers.

I've taken Professor Smith for both INR2002 and INR4702, he is an awesome teacher! You can really learn a lot from him. The test aren't bad once you learn the material, besides they are multiple choice with only 3 choices.
