Comment:
Dr. Green should not be the head of the Poli-Sci department, when his son, also a poli-sci major doesnt know the difference between immigrants & refugees and has no clue whats going on in the world. You want me to believe that this man has the ability to educate students when his own son is vacant, ignorant, and isnt educated? Yeah right.

Dr Green was hands-down one of the best professors I have had in my time in college (I am now working on my second Master's degree). He was extremely fair, including a variety of engaging material in the course, and I learned plenty that I still use today when teaching undergraduates. Even for an online course, he stays available for assistance.

Took class during Summer. 2 discussion board posts & 2 responses a week (due by Noon on Saturdays) & did not grade them. 3 Essays of 6-8 pages each-two of which were due in the same week. Didn't return essays or give positive/negative feedback. Writing and reading intensive course. Seems to be an easy A if you can keep up with the load.

Single worst professor I've ever had. When he decides he will actually answer an email, which is not very often, he is vague and has a tone as though he's annoyed he has to take the time to respond to a student. Dr. Green is a perfect argument for allowing students to pick their own capstone adviser. It's April and the last I heard from him was Jan

(This is specifically for an online graduate course.) Doesn't return emails promptly or professionally. Doesn't release online course material until late in the evening on first day of the semester.) Does not give feedback for extended periods of time after submission of assignments. Students are more engaged in course than he is.

Dr. Green is very passionate about his subject & knows a lot, leading to a lot of digressions but he's funny and overall just great. Kind of scatterbrained, though. If you do the reading & he can tell you caredtried, you'll do absolutely fine.

Excellent professor who makes any class interesting yet challenging by giving great supplementary course info like readings and media. If you love politics then you'll love Green. He's respectful, has a good personality and gives all sides of an issue. His biggest drawback, however, is his monotone voice, which I got used to.

Lectures are slow at times, but the videos are interesting. Total of three tests with about 20 questions each. That will determine your grade, no extra credit. However, the grading scale is very generous, I think a 65% = B-. I would recommend this teacher for government class. Just attend class and study. Oh, no text required either is nice too.

attendance isnt mandatory but its in your best interest to go... you'll understand the material better and he says things in class or shows videos you cant get anywhere else for the test. there's 3 test, 20 quests and theyre straight forward (he gives out reviews) plus, his grading scale is amazing... great prof and what a college prof should be

Good teacher, what a college professor should be like. Doesnt do attendance, only 2 grades (mid-term and final) which are 2 large essays usually, and the content of his class is really interesting. A lot to learn. Even has a grace period for his mid-term and final.

If you're interesting in getting away from the boring, repetitive aspects of political scicne (like studying the electoral college and other borings feats)and instead studying real life controversies and their underying premises, Dr. Green is your man. He prescribes the most interesting readings of any professor i have ever encountered.

Roger Green agreed to serve as reader for my Capstone project. When my advisor decided to quit (see Duane Dobbert of FGCU) half way through my last semester Roger Green went along with it. Ironically, Roger Green was listed on the FGCU website as an expert in ethics.
