Armale is one of the nicest professors on campus. He works hard to make it fun, however I do think that his lectures are extremely boring. Lab is mostly simple because he explains everything right before you do it, but the 20-prob-per-chapter assignments on webassign are nearly impossible sometimes. I skipped lecture, did Webassign at home instead.

Dr. Ron is a well respected professor in Cypress College, and he's a well decent grader in everything. He makes lots of jokes and give extra credit for going to SI. Homework is pretty tough and long so be prepare for a lot of that. Get chegg! The labs are pretty tough at first, but they get easy. Exams are easy and move up difficult each one.

He is a funny guy, but his lectures can be very boring. There is Web Assign homework for each chapter and lab reports for each lab. Both are very tedious and time consuming. 3 exams in total. He gives 2% extra credit if you attend all the SI sessions. My advice would be: read the textbook, go to SI, and buy Chegg (to help with the labs and hw).

To be honest, hes good but hes not amazing. His lectures are boring but the only way to pass is if you go to SI.

Comment:
Armale teaches only from power point and it is hard to follow. So when he is doing example problems, it's really hard to follow since it's all from the slides and there are a lot of images and effects so it isn't straight forward. I didn't learn anything from him and people mostly pass because of the curve, homework and lab. I would take Hamamura.

Professor Armale is a great professor, I talked with a few classmates about what they had thought about him and they seemed to think he was not the professor they were expecting. Well, he is GREAT, he would discuss ideas and questions with you after class if you need to develop a clearer understanding. Grades were easy to attain if you studied.

Make sure you do all the homework and show up to all the weekly labs. Those are easy points and help your grade in the end because his three midterms are relatively moderate in hardness due to the way things are worded. Exams are very lecture/theory heavy, therefore just memorizing definitions isn't enough. He drops one exam, lab and homework.

If you want to get A on this class, buy or rent the textbook. Otherwise, you may not get A like me. I put "lots of homework," but usually he gives students one or two chapters homework. He gives students handouts for each chapters, and you can bring them on each tests, so one thing I can say is "buy book, and you'll be fine." That's it!

Prof Armale has is charismatic yet humble. He makes what would be a boring lecture into something interesting. I love his accent, I think it's adorable and it part of his charm. He explains physics in a way that makes you understand it in relation to everyday life. Very fair grader. Flexible; can work harder in other areas to make up for weak spots

He reminds me of an awkward, funny, grandpa and you can't help but laugh at his jokes. I can tell he really tries to make class interesting and he was super helpful with me during the semester. If you let him know early on that you aren't doing so well, he will help you out. Do ALL the hw+ extra credit, it saved my semester. Book helps with tests

If you're serious about being a science/engineering student, take his classes. He genuinely cares about his students and wants to make a difference in the lives of his students, which is observable from him being actively available during office hours for as much as he could. I hated physics before his class. And now I'm a physics major.

Very interesting, yet killer semester with Math 250A. This is a hard class, but doable. I'm very inspired to pursue STEM more now that Dr. Armale taught us more of the spirit of science. He's so humble, definitely one of my favorite professors. Others make note of his accent, but I like his accent! His lectures really make you think and amuse you!

This class was so hard. I studied every note and every homework assignment all semester and still received a D. The tests are super hard and confusing and his study guides have nothing to do with the test. You might enjoy this class but I couldn't stay focus the whole lecture.

I do like this professor, but the tests are so difficult for me. I studied the handouts and even the self test questions on the back of the book + hw . I must be missing something. Other people are doing better in the class. Maybe get involved in a study group? Homework isn't too hard but I would recommend getting some help for tests somehow

Honestly, I couldn't wait to get out of this class. Prof. Armale knows his field, but his class was too boring to sit through. The lectures are long, but he posts them online. He does take attendance though. There is homework and it can be very long sometimes. He uses a curve which helps a lot.

His class is pretty simple to understand. He goes very in depth and his assignments are all online and due before 11PM. The homework assignments are somewhat long and very confusing, but it's useful because the exams are a lot easier.

Prof. Armale is very nice! He makes class entertaining with visual examples such as videos or his own demonstrations. I would have to say that his powerpoints are hard to follow during class but he posts them online for you to refer back to. Tests are reasonable if you actually take the time out to do practice problems on your own.
