Comment:

The syllabus is very unclear and all over the place. There are no due dates for assignments, no clear outlines for what assignments need to be done and what assignments are actually due. Class time is spent doing no work at all and he rambles the whole period about irrelevant topics..a waste of money and time. He seems very disconnected and spacey.

I thought Mr. Hughes was an interesting teacher, and I would take his class again. However, I always felt like he seemed stoned and would easily get off topic and spend the entire time talking about irrelevant things to what we were doing. Essentially if you show up and do write your papers, you will get an A.

Mr.Hughes is great. This class as so much fun. He does require alot of writing. He did miss 2 classes. we started with a class of 25 ended with 6. Wish he had more Eng 101 classes on Tues/thur. Awesome teacher cant wait to have him again for other english classes

If you want an easy A for the GE requirements, this is your class. If you want to improve your writing or reading skills, it is not. The grading system is completely unclear. The only real thing that seemed to determine grade was 100 pages of writing anything, even "I hate this class" for 100 pages and you'd have an A. This class was not for me.
