My absolute FAVORITE professor. She is very smart, quirky, and kind. You will not regret taking English 150 with her. One of the best classes I've taken all semester!

Great Professor! You have to show up and do the brief reading but as long as you do, it's a really easy class where you are sure to learn a lot. For your papers, she will allow you to send them in to her before the due date and she will tell you exactly what to do to get an A. Great professor!

Don't take this class as a humanities for your GDR. I needed humanities, a 300 level class and it seemed interesting. It was awful, don't take it unless you are an English major. Her lectures are all over the place and she constantly made references to books or authors that only one or two people knew of.

Took Eng 200 summer course. Easy WE course. Total of 3 papers-and they are short! about 2-3 pages (couble space). Along with daily readings (short radings!) and small d2l post on the readings. Easy A and easy WE course. Higly recommend it for summer. She did not grade too harshly. Class is a bit boring but she tries to make it fun. Easy class.

Excellent professor! Extremely helpful and clear. Her expectations are outlined in her syllabus and if you follow them, it's not difficult to attain a good grade. She seems rather frazzled at times, but her personality is great and I highly recommend her class.

Prof. Pogell is my favorite teacher this semester. She is incredibly nice and has a good sense of humor for when the class goes off topic. The class isn't impossible and from what I've heard is easier than the 101 and 102 classes. TAKE HER, YOU WON'T REGRET IT!

Professor Pogell is a total sweetheart. Not only is she extremely intelligent and eloquent, she really makes an effort to ensure that her students know the material. Her one-on-one tutorials were really helpful to me -- it was nice to be able to get such detailed advice on my writing. The class is easy and entertaining. A positive experience!

If you're a creative writer, you might get frustrated at her trying to tone down your language to a more academic scale. It wasn't too much of a problem. The three papers were fairly easy and she was always eager to help. You also don't need to buy the MLA book; it's really just a guide.

English 150 was a fairly easy class. We were only assigned three papers over the semester and I didn't really learn anything new. She can come off as pretentious at times. Her revisions on papers are rarely helpful and at times frustrating. However, she's fun in class and very clear on what she wants/doesn't want in your work.

She is one of the nicest and most helpful professors I have had. She will go out of her way to help you with your papers and, when you turn a rough draft, she corrects everything on it for you so you are almost guranteed an A on the paper. She wants all of her students to succeed and will do a lot to see that happen. I would recommend her to any

Easy class, but if you show talent, she'll grade harder. No final exam, just a paper. Do all assignments, but do them well as there are only 190 points in the class.
