Mandatory attendance. His lectures do not help much with the tests, and the tests are extremely specific and difficult to prepare for. Practice quizzes have to be done in the testing lab, which sucks. Do the weekly discussion questions for free extra credit points. Otherwise, only grades are tests. There has GOT to be a better option.

Mandatory class but didn't learn anything. Lectures from powerpoint's. Has practice quizzes but makes you take them in a computer lab, tests are difficult and long. Gives extra credit but not enough to help grade. Only grades are tests.

If you take the course online. You do not need to watch the lectures. All of the quizes are from a question bank, and the exams are as well. He gives extra credit and quick feed back. Do the work and you will get an A.

Your semester grade is based on 3 proctored tests. He gives extra credit for completing practice quizzes, which help you prepare for the tests. There is a weekly discussion board that doesn't count for credit. Make sure to read the textbook and watch his lectures. The tests contain questions straight from the practice quizzes. Pretty easy class.

TAKE THIS ONLINE!! I've heard it's way easier than in class. All you do is take 3 exams on a proctored website. You'll want to buy the textbook because it helps. I didn't look at any of his videos/powerpoints and got a B+ in the class. The tests are all from the test bank which you can find on various MKG 310 Quizlets! Quizzes are optional too!

He knows nothing about modern marketing. All ads he talks about in class are so old, no one else has heard of them. He thinks all social media and most TV is useless, even though its extremely relevant to the material. Locks the door the minute class starts, 4 absences (no matter what), weekly quizzes, no laptops for notes, &pointless lectures.

This guy is overall very rude. He has failed students for asking what country he is from. He says "I'm on every committee at Ball State, so good luck trying to get me in trouble." Very arrogant. Locks door as soon as class starts. You only get 4 absences, regardless of excused or not (including school and athlete events.)Class is easy, but he sucks

He is very strict on attendance and you do not want to be late to class. Weekly chapter quizzes in the testing labs and he allows for multiple attempts. The tests are very similar to the quizzes and all of the questions for both tests and quizzes come directly from the book. Easy "A" as long as you can sit through his boring/irrelevant lectures.

He might be a decent guy, but he's definitely unreasonable at times and not at all understanding. He locked the door at 9:30, and sometimes wouldn't allow students in at 9:31. VERY strict late & attendance policies. Going to class is necessary for the class, but the classes never helped me on exams. Exams based solely on book material. Hated it.

I had Dr. Borna online for this class & he was great. Entire grade was based on 3 exams, but he gave practice quizzes that all test questions came from. He added 5 pts to everyones exams & was very quick to get back w/ students if you e-mailed him. I would highly recommend taking him for this course if you can!

Very easy class there's no homework, projects, or papers just four exams that constitute your entire grade. He pulls his exam questions from the book's test bank and I've heard if you can get your hands on that you're set. He's serious about his attendance policy; if you miss more than 4 classes he's dropping you a letter grade NO MATTER WHAT.

Comment:

Borna is a great professor. This class is be a little boring but the exams are not difficult. Definitely have to read the book in order to get all the test questions right. After the 4th absence, he takes you down a letter grade. Overall, not a terrible class.

Class is easy! All you have to do is memorize the 80 questions for each chapter on the test. You also have to show up for class because there is a strict attendance policy. You get 4 absences and then you start to lose letter grades. Overall, it is really easy and you can get an easy A.

This course is a joke! He provides all the possible test questions and then selects 70-80 questions for the actual exam, all you have to do is memorize. Attendance policy is strict, after 4 excused/unexcused absences your grade drops by A LETTER! Will not allow you to do anything other than sit and listen. Struggle through it, you'll ace the class.
