Comment:

Sherrie cares so much about her students it's honestly amazing. The course I took was writing intensive, but it was 4 short 1-2 page responses, and 2 longer essays regarding the memoirs. I left this class enjoying reading again, 10/10 would recommend for LIT core. Be prepared to read a lot (7 memoirs) and to discuss in class.

Comment:

Professor Weller is AMAZING. Her Women in Lit class about Sin, Sex, and Silence was absolutely phenomenal. We read an incredible array of memoirs, ones that you actually would want to read, and class discussions were thought provoking. She is super understanding and is totally flexible in regards to due dates and such. 100% recommend!!!

AMAZING! Sherrie is one of the best professors at Loyola. She is fantastic at her job. Caring, funny, genuinely wants you to understand the perspectives of the authors. Fair grader and overall amazing. Go to class! Talk at least once in class. Best class I've taken at Loyola.

She is probably one of the best professors you will take here at Loyola university. she cares about her students a lot. Im a science major and English is a very very weak subject for me, however I got an A in the class. She teaches you a lot and makes the class very interesting, her views are liberal so if youre right wing dont take her class.

Professor Weller is one of the most caring Professors I've ever taken. She gives extensions if you have a lot of personal events and things going on in your life and she's an easy grader who is willingly to give you feedback on your papers even the day the paper is due! It just wasn't me who loved her as a person and a professor, but also the class

Sherrie is the most down to earth person. She's so energized and gets the whole class to participate but if you don't she doesn't make it a big deal. She's SUPER flexible with extensions and sometimes randomly gives them for no reason. LOVE Sherrie.

LOVE HER!!! She's all about helping YOU improve your writing skills and is extremely helpful and caring. She is extremely helpful during office hours and will do anything to make sure you are comfortable with your writing skills. She wants you to write about topics you enjoy as well as current issues.

SHERRIE IS THE BEST HUMAN BEING IN THE WORLD. Gives wonderful books to read and class is literally just talking about them. She is so passionate and it spreads to the whole class. Conducts lecture in a way that makes the class a very close group. She's also hilarious. Empathetic,caring, you name it. BEST teacher/class at Loyola.

I LOVE Professor Weller! Go to her office hours! She gives a lot of helpful feedback and you'll really grow as a writer in the class. She's a tough grader, but she lets you redo your papers if you get less than a 90% on them. It's easy to get at least a B in the class, but you'll have to push yourself for an A. One of my favorite classes this year.

AMAZING PROFESSOR. I absolutely loved sherrie! I've never had such a chill professor like her. She extended like all of our papers if we asked her to. We told her not to give us a paper over spring break and of course she listened. Honestly amazing; although, kind of a tough grader. But it shouldn't be hard to get a B or better in her class.

LOVE HER. You get two tests and she gives you study guides. If you read you will do fine. There are two essays which are very simple. And then two reflections on two events on campus. The final is a poetry presentation and final reflection. She is wonderful and if you send her a rough draft she will look over it. She is so nice and understanding.

Professor Weller is super nice and enthusiastic! I would take her again. Although it is not an easy A, you really need to work hard for it, but she supplies you with the opportunities to do so. She is also HUGE into politics and is very liberal, with that said, every freewrite we did was against repubs. Keep that in mind if it offends you.

Ms. Weller is fantastic. Attending he classes are necessary, there are participation points. There are a few papers, however she helps with the process and is always willing to give you comments. Easy A if you put time and effort in the class. I highly recommend her!
