I have never had a Professor so unorganized while lecturing. Her lectures are all over the place, she will begin speaking on one topic, and jump to the next and then come back to the topic. Comment:

I like this professor a lot as she is a very nice women. Although she can be a bit confusing with her assignments and how she wants them exactly. Just make sure you ask her exactly what she wants for an assignment because she tended to leave out some details that affected the grade of the assignment. Do that and youll be good.

Dr. Li was awesome. I had her for two classes, and as long as you make a real effort and put in the work you will do fine. She is willing to work with you, but you need to do your part and show up and communicate with her. I would definitely recommend!

If your not good at math don't take her ! She tends to yell when you don't understand something. The way she explains things is very difficult to understand and comprehend she also does not give extra credit ! and your grade is a total of 3 test ! Because of her i have to retake the class Good luck to who ever have to take her !

Dr. Li only grades on 4 things every semester (3 tests and a paper/project) and they are letter grades, not numbers, so your grade is a little unclear. You NEED to show up to class to take in the info and PAY ATTENTION. It's not hard at all if you break it down and ask questions (for soc research or stats). She will always answer your questions.

Dr. Li was probably the best math teacher I have ever had. She made Social Statistics understandable. The only reason I got a C+ is because I'm bad at math. If it were any other professor, I probably would have failed that class. Plus she's literally insane and that what I love about her. Would definitely take another class with her.

She is one of the BEST professors I have ever taken! Her grading is very hard, her tests are also hard but you learn ALOT! She is very passionate! If you don't like reading, do not take her. I recommend everyone to take her for any sociology classes if you are willing to work.

When i first met Dr. Li, i did not like her. But as the semester progressed she really grew on me. Give her respect in class and she will give you the same back. I actually did learn a lot from the class, go to her any time you have questions and shes more than willing to help and getting a decent grade is not out of reach.

Dr. Li is great. I don't get the people talking about her accent. It's not heavy at all. She's an expert in her field and she is open to interjections and opinions which is great if you're in a class where people know how to speak. She doesn't assign a textbook for this class which is awesome. Her tests are easy if you get the concepts at all.

OMG I love professor Li. she is super funny, she always had me laughing in class. she is so nice, and wants you to pass. she gives so much extra help if you need it. I hate statistics but she made me enjoy that class. I think she speaks really clearly unlike what the other reviews says. she was not hard for me to understand. she cares.

Prof. Li is very passionate about sociology but the problem, besides her Chinese accent, is that she doesnt give concise notes. since her notes are oral it makes classes feel very long and boring. everything she teaches makes sense and is logical its just confusing sometimes. she is a very nice lady and is helpful. she doesnt assign homework.

There is no chance I would ever willingly take this professor again. The entire class, every time, was just her lecturing. It is VERY BORING. This was an intro class but she taught it like we were all upper level sociology majors... The exams are extremely difficult and the only grades you get are 3 exams and a term paper.

Excellent professor/advisor. Very helpful! Very clear and concise expectations. Homework not mandatory, but very beneficial. Two tests, one lab. Attendance encouraged. Uses relevant examples to explain difficult concepts. Skim the book, take thorough notes, review notes often, contribute to discussion, and you'll be aces. Made me love stats!!

Hate this woman. She can't speak the English language very well, which makes it next to impossible 2 understand her.She is the senior adviser which is a joke as well because she does not know what she is doing. Had a class she specifically told me to take, turns out I dont need it and now I cant graduate on time. 2 words to describe this woman..

took her for research methods very very hard seriously study everything! the test come up quick so stay up to speed wouldn't miss to many classes tests are very hard not imposable there's a lot of info and like 5 essay type questions. very nice lady you will like her but she is very hard

I was bored out of my mind in this class. But I'm also an engineering major with no soc background in the class. Do the assigned readings and you'll be fine. She was also understanding that the majors and grade levels in the class ranged from engineering and freshman to sociology and seniors and was accommodating of that.

Best teacher, if you are bright. If you have been skating by don't take her, or else work extra hard. She is fair and pleasant. Tests are all essays, you need to know the material, take good notes, and not in a dumb, memorized way. She will help anyone who needs it.
