Took Pedi 10/09 - Great Clinical Instructor! Timely and useful feedback. Got an A from her class. Very approachable and willing to help especially if you make an appointment to see her. Allows you to redo your careplan if you consult her on time. I learned a lot from her. One of the best!

The rest of these comment must be sour grapes because it was the complete opposite experience for our class. We thought this professor was excellent, very helpful, and taught us a truckload in 8 short weeks. We wish we could have Ms. John for more nursing classes. She has high standards, but she really helps us reach them!

Ms. John/Thomas is just awful. She is passive-aggressive. In my opinion, the pedi faculty group are not very impressive; and as the lead teacher, Ms. John/Thomas really sets that sub-par tone.

Don’t even think about approaching her with any problems (school / personal) because she doesn’t care!! Yet, if she has a problem.. watch out!Pedi is also the weed-out class. . PEOPLE WILL FAIL THIS CLASS!! Its structured to do that because they can only take so many students for med/surg.

Didn't show for clinicals. NEVER gave back ANY careplans, or gave feedback. Major paper grade never given. Very different, and not helpful. She shouldn't be allowed to teach if she can't guide students to improvement through timely feedback.

She mised a total of two clinicals and was late to one, due to her little son illness (so she say) and have the nerves to be mean and unhelpful. She is a oldhag going through menopause and is unhappy with herself and want everyone else to be also.

Rather friendly, yet she, as well as with most of the other HCC instructors seem to believe that simply standing up in front of the class and reading an outline of the chapter is some form of teaching. . it is: a bad form of teaching.
