Dr. Watton is a good professor for organic, he is good at explaining things if you ask him how he did the problems. He also lets you use a cheat sheet with whatever you want to put on it.

It's a Beautiful Day in Dr. Wattons' neighborHOOD.. Won't you be his, won't you be his chemistry student?!!! In other words..... This man is the Mister Rogers of our ccsu chemistry world. We learn a lot under our Hood. He's a sweet sweet man. Like the type of professor that Harry Potter would hang out with after hours. More like a Lupin or Hagrid

Hardest class I have taken while having this professor. He does not teach to help you on the test. He just does examples and that is not what the test consists of. He skipped classes. Then didnt teach you chapters that was on exam since he missed class.

By far the hardest professor I've ever had. His quizzes are very fast paced, and contain a lot of information that it's near impossible to memorize everything. Also the book is free which is nice, but there's so much info!

I was so scared to take organic chem 210 but i loved this professor! hes really nice and hes pretty funny. i took it in the summer so it was really fast but i wouldn't of survived taking this painful class for 4 months in the fall. Alot of information but he is very helpful and wants everyone to win. also alot of built in extra credit in exams.

I decided to take this chem class because I heard Watton was easy and provided a lot of help and a large array of materials for the tests. However, he was extremely different and skipped class a few times that made it difficult to learn. We took an exam and would later need to do our final without a prior class and study guide.

He is very boring in class. Does a lot of examples. For regular chem I had to teach myself everything but his tests were super easy. For organic Chemistry it was hard. He just reads off his PowerPoints. Had to go to tutoring but his test are super hard for Organic Chemistry.

Dr Watton curves his exams by like 40 points. The exams are out of 140 points, but he takes your score and inputs it in blackboard out of 100, there is no excuse for failure. He will work with you during office hours to make sure you understand what is going on so make sure to seek the help if you need it. Dont wait until the last minute

If you have to take Orgo, Dr. Watton is def the Professor to take it with. Super nice and wants students to succeed. The material is hard, by if you read, do the homework assignments, and ask lots of questions you will be fine. Lots of extra credit embedded within the exams which was super helpful!

Lab is easygoing with him. Just show up and do the experiment. It doesn't matter if you get good results or not. Write the report in the same format (paragraph or column) as the manual and you'll get the full points. He even gave the option of rewriting one if you didn't get a good grade. We helped each other finish. Lab final was like Orgo1.

Every Organic chemistry student should take Dr. Watton. He is an amazing professor. Cares about students and is super helpful. He curves exam grades like crazy. On one exam the highest grade was 130 out of 100 points. Extra credit questions are embedded in the exams so it is very possible to score above a 100.

I was worried about taking Orgo at first... but Dr. Watton is the best! He is passionate, caring and very helpful during office hours. Attempt every hwk problem and if u have any ?'s about it - go see him prior to class. He is in your corner and wants all to succeed. Orgo material is tough but take each chapter by chapter and read the text too.

Orgo is a tough class... but Watton made it super bearable. Great lectures. He was always available in his office hours and was very helpful. With Orgo, u must keep up with hwk and ask ?'s often. He grades the hwk for every class. He is a fair grader. Often gave us extra credit questions on exams. 3 exams consisted of mult choice and open ended

Absolutely loved Dr. Watton. I went in terrified to take this class because of what I heard about it but Dr. Watton helped me through it. I went to office hours every time they were offered and he answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was a pain. It's a hard class, but if you put in the time, and effort you'll do fine!

The guy is very nice and very funny. He made the 8 am lecture bearable. Only 4 exams but they're the only grades you receive. But he offers practice exams that basically cover the entirety of the exam. Also goes over a lot in lecture so try not to miss a class. Show up and study and you'll do fine. Tests aren't out of the ordinary.

Worth the 8 am as he writes very thorough notes; throws in some jokes too. Gives optional practice problems before each exam that are similar to the exam questions;4 tests +final. Every exam had built in extra credit and even gave an extra credit quiz to bring grades up. Goes slow so easier to understand. Final is nothing like exams but can get A

Dr. Watton is a fun professor to have at 8 am and is very thorough and specific when it comes to his lectures. He explains things very well and if you show up to class and take notes you should have no problem getting a good grade. The class is 4 tests and a final with maybe 1 quiz so study the material bu overall straightforward.

big hw assignments that impact your grade. he is available to help you but you have to show you actually tried to solve problems. its almost impossible to pass if you miss class, since he gives all the info you need on the board not slides. this class if easy to fail but easy to pass. you really just have to put in some effort.
