Most of the class is online, go to class and you won't have to read as much. I would still get the textbook to refer to in the discussions. The quizzes are easy because you can take them multiple times to get the score you want.

Steve is an amazing instructor. This is my second time taking a class with him. Even as we have switched to an entirely online format during these weird times (the global pandemic), he remains a great instructor and encouraging us through all of this. Overall, giving some effort on assignments and paying attention in class will really help you

I took the 8-week personality course. A lot of coursework: 2 quizzes, a journal and a paper due each module. He gives great feedback and it's an easy A if you put in the work. Didn't receive a single grade until the last week of the course, though, so that was stressful. I don't think this is normal for him though based on previous reviews.

I took Steve for an FLC course which i reccomend to any new freshmans. He was amazing, he was very flexible with our exams and homework too. (Keep in mind we were a class of 20 students). He was my favorite professor out of all the professors I had last semester. If i was studying psych I'd def take his class again. He's a good man!

Difficult exams that include a lot of trick questions, but your grade is not based entirely on exams and its still easy to get an A even if you are a bad test taker

Professor Alley is a really cool guy. He's also funny and you can tell he cares and loves his job. However, this course was either really boring or really interesting. Overall, pretty easy if you show up and do the work!

Steve is by far the best professor I have had at UNM! I would highly recommend taking a course with him. His tests aren't hard, you just have to review the material and do your best to show up to class. He is a wonderful lecturer and really wants to make sure you understand the material. He is super kind and understanding. Highly highly recommend!

Dr. Alley is my absolute favorite professor. He is so caring and gives you everything you need to succeed in his class. Participation is EXTRA CREDIT which is amazing and significantly helps your final grade. His exams are based entirely on his lectures, so if you go to class and pay attention, you will ace his exams every time.

Great guy, cool stories, great examples, tests though are a bit tricky and determine a majority of the overall grade. Study guides are long, complex, and confusing.

This was my third class with Professor Steve and as always I really enjoyed it. His courses require you to put effort into them, but it is worth it because you get such a good understanding of the material. If you ever need help he is always willing to meet up and help you. If I had another chance to take a class with him, I would.

Don't take any of his classes if you have a serious interest in psychology. He's a sweet guy and has a considerable knowledge of social psych, but he doesn't really teach you much. His lectures consist of him going off on tangents about personal experiences, and he rarely touches on material. Take this class for an easy A+, but not for the content.

Best professor in the psych department! Ive taken multiple classes with him and he truly cares about all his students. He also is good at teaching and explaining the material. Weekly online quizzes but answers are on quizlet and you can take as many times as you want. Weekly writing assignments but its actually on interesting things!

Steve expects solid work effort out of you, but he definitely does his part to make sure you succeed. He gives incredible feedback. The grading criteria is always crystal clear, and you have all the resources you need to succeed if you put in a decent effort. Little bit of a heavier workload if you take the 8 week course, but nothing awful.

Good professor but lecture heavy. Sometimes I don't know what hes talking about since there is a lot of things to talk about. Learn quizzes, 3 assignments, journals, and tests. Takes some time to get through all of them but mostly easy. Tests are hard since there is a lot of stuff you need to remember and know. No open book or notes on test.

Steve's class is always very interesting. Assignments and journals were clear and the expectations of this course were clear in the syllabus. His study guides and study sessions were extremely helpful in being successfully on exams. Not my favorite class overall, but Steve's classes always force you to think critically, which I appreciate.

Steve is an awesome professor! I had him for the PSY 105 FLC, and he really takes the time to get to know each one of his students. There is an online quiz every week or so, and we had 2 midterms-where we got to do corrections afterwards. He really makes the course so you can not fail, and 10/10 would recommend.

This instructor is a super-nice guy. He oozes kindness. He has a reasonable amount of homework - not too much, yet enough to feel as if I actually took a class and learned something. As long as you turn everything in on time, you are golden.
