I am beyond thankful to have studied with Dr. Young at WCC. Not only is he an amazing musician, he is by far the most caring teacher at this institution. He truly wants every student to succeed and understand the material being presented. I knew taking his class would be hard work, but it was well worth it.

Stefan Young = GODLIKE GENIUS. Some people may tell you that he's "too hard," but those types of people are incapable of learning. What other theory teacher will play Mozart arias, Brahms symphonies, and Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" from memory for you on the first day of class?? You will learn so much from this man, and love every second.

The only reason I stayed at this pathetic institution was because of Dr. Young. He's the only person that challenged me and took me to my limits at WCC. Very smart, brilliant, intelligent. It will be a sad day when he leaves the school.

Genius and fabulous teacher. He made me love theory! Also gave me a great intro to composition, made me think of music from a different perspective, changed me as a musician. Be ready to work. Very entertaining classes, likes to make jokes.

Awful for the struggling Theory student. Gives completely unreasonable amounts of work, and expects every single assignment to be 100% perfect before you even receive a grade. Horrible and stressful time in his class.
