Drucker takes a really interesting topic that is Media and The Law, and makes it painstakingly boring. The lectures go on for hours, and when you are finally up to the point of doing the take-home final exam, you will realize just how little you actually learned in the class. She also makes you purchase a textbook that she authored The worst.

She's an awesome professor if you enjoy law, ethics and political discussions. You'll do well as long as you take good notes and pay attention. The midterm can be challenging if you don't have a text book. But she provides many extra credit opportunities. Her class can be stressful if you're taking other demanding classes, just don't procrastinate

Comment:

Professor Drucker is great. This class is hated by many. It is really hard and it is legalese. I loved this class! I find media rights and the law interesting. The midterm is the hardest even with open book. I spent 10 hours taking notes on pages. I got an A on my midterm. Group project is very time consuming. Do not skip class.

Material is very boring unless you're interested in law. Focuses heavily on the law aspect and what felt like less on the media aspect. Good to have a law background. Make sure to do the readings. They'll help you make some sense of the material. Midterm relatively easy. Take home final -- extremely hard. Debate project. PICK A GOOD GROUP.

Professor was incredible! Class seriously made me consider law school (still considering.) I love law, so I found the material interesting and found the class insightful. I did find parts of it dull, so I played around on the computer- not a big deal b/c all powerpoints are posted on blackboard. she has a weird cell phone policy- only bad thing!

She's brilliant and definitely knows her material! Very approachable. Open book midterm, take-home final, 2 case briefs and bill presentation. Class gets boring at times but there's numerous topics to cover during the semester. I actually really enjoyed her class. Helps you understand things not just in the field of journalism <3

She has a lot of passion for media law, and tries to convey that to the class. Her biggest problems are trying to stick to her lesson plans too strictly and relying too heavily on power point. She would be more engaging if she just stuck to basics. She kept our class too long in order to keep to schedule. Result was burnout/disinterest by the end

She is very passionate about media and the law and she really teaches you a lot. She is a little long winded and keeps you til the very last minute, but its a really easy class. There is a midterm, final, and group project. The group project is stupid and annoying but overall the class is easy. The midterm is open book and the final is take home.

I am so mad at this woman. She is supposed to be my advisor yet I have been trying to make an appointment with her for over a month and have not gotten any response. I have called, e-mail, stopped by her office during her office hours only to find her not there. So I left a note and still not contact. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

she is an ok teacher, she knows her law and media real good, the work isnt to bad, the group assignment is pointless, but easy class to sleep in and still do well in. her lectures are boring and all her powerpoint lecutres are online, not a terrible class just boring at times.

Great Class, she is really into it, relates it to real life. Many class discussions, take home mid-term, movies, online classes, and cancelled classes. No real Homework. My tip would be to have an opinion and give it. She hates Suburbia and loves the city. I would take it again, my favorite class!

She's an extremely nice professor, who's very "young" at heart, it seems. Print out the blackboard notes, they help a lot. GENEROUS with grades! I feel I deserve a much lower grade, but she always bumped them high!
