Comment:

She talks a lot, but that it kind of what I expect an English Teacher to do. She does give homework, but the assignments were easy and straight to the point. There are about 3-4 major essays you have to write, including a research paper at the end. The lectures are very boring and slow, but she can be funny sometimes.

This professor will grade you somewhat lightly until you make a mistake she doesnt like. She will then start nit picking every assignment. She also seems to have very little knowledge of computers. She will post an assignment that leads no where and then not answer emails about it until a day before its due. Will never recommend to anyone

I definitely would not recommend this professor to anyone. While she does make it clear what is expected, she is an extremely tough grader and feedback was minimal to none. Frequent mis grading on top of that, and seems to lack empathy for students. By far worst class experience I have had.

Comment:

Very nice and kind person. She does give great feedback when it comes to grading papers. The only issue is whether the student can read the feedback or not since the handwriting is a little messy. Get ready to read multiple chapters of a book per day because you WILL get quizzed on it and are required to give good detail as to what happened.

Interesting see bad reviews because I didn't think she was too bad. Lectures on grammar were kinda bad and disorganized. But, as long as you put effort into the essay's and watch for grammar, you should be fine.

3 tags isn't enough. All of my classmates are worried about just trying to pass. She is very strict about homework due dates and if you miss a day of class beware because she will give you 0s even if you turn in your assignments. There is a paper every week and the last paper is 8+ pages long. Then she's a very tough grader on top of it all.

She is really kind, but I took a compact class and it was SO stressful. We had a ton of homework and she was not flexible if a student missed something.

I'm so surprised on how low the score is. I was a little nervous at first but I did really well in the class. The extra credit will help you out a lot trust me. She didn't do a good job with teaching about grammar, but everything else was great. It was weird that the class started out with 15 people and it ended with 6 and 2 didn't show up 4 final.

Online Class Review Make sure you read the syllabus because even though she says something is due on one day, the syllabus says other wise. Also read the announcements because she is not clear on when things are due.

Pros - nice lady. If she can get a PhD, anyone can. cons - chaotic. class started with about 20 people, 1 month in we have 8. Boring, tedious, does little "teaching". Has put incorrect grades in grade book. Disorganized, unenthusiastic and generally 'out of touch'. Doesn't empathize with students, not a student friendly course.

I read all of the previous reviews and was worried about taking this class. Three things, 1) You are a college student, you are going to be writing a lot of papers. 2) She was crystal clear about her expectations in her syllabus. If you don't understand what she is looking for, ask! 3) Easy grades help no one. Overall, great class.

Assignments are unclear and she is equally unclear herself in what she expects from her students. Grading is unforgiving and subjects she requests we write about are out of touch and out of date. Don't take her classes!

It was very tough in her class. You only use the book she gives you only to half way of the semester. Her essays were probably the hardest things completely. DO NOT TAKE THEM LIGHTLY! They are each worth 100 points so they are pretty much your test grade for the class. She also grades her essay particularly on grammar and punctuation, so be careful

She is a nice person and provides wonderful feedback to really help you develop your writing skills, however, the amount of work required for her class is mind boggling. I have had to do more work for this one class than my other three courses combined.
