While I disagreed with Dr. Mashburn on many things, he is one of two professors I had that made me think the most. His approach left a significant impact on how I think today, 12 years later. It seems like he thinks his job is to challenge what you think, which is great. Very insightful, thought provoking perspectives. I am better for it.

This man. He's changed the way I will think forever and has opened me up to many new worlds. Greatest professor I've ever had. If only every subject had someone with such a passion for learning and for the students themselves.

Dr. Mashburn has been one of my favorite professors so far at UM. He is very passionate about the material that he teaches and he will really draw you into it if you allow him to. He is a believer in using the text book, so be prepared for a number of reading quizzes throughout the semester, as well as the four exams based on lectures and readings.

Dr. Mashburn is a crazy guy, but one of the best teachers at that school. He is truly concerned with arriving at some greater knowledge than what he started with. He was my advisor, as well as the only way I passed with what I did, while learning something
